Electronics : ALBA CD DAB Radio with cassette

- It does what it says on the tin!
I bought this after having tried and returned two other DAB radio/CD players, one of which would not pick up any DAB stations and the other (a Goodmans) for constantly refusing to play CDs. This was cheaper than the ones I returned and goes to prove that expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a compact, reliable radio that can multi-task as a CD player and a cassette player. The sound quality is fine for day to day use eg in a kitchen and I have been able to pick up a good selection of digital stations, despite living in an area surrounded by trees and generally suffering from poor reception on my other non-digital radios. The volume control is easy to use. The only minor gripe is that the button for scrolling through the stations is a bit fiddly. Overall, it is an excellent buy.

It's early days, only got it recently, but am thrilled with this DAB/CD player. I bought it to be able to use in the kitchen,or utility when sitting in the garden. It's actually smaller than I expected and really smart looking - black and silver with a blue display. The sound is excellent, on both the radio and CD player and you don't have to change the volume back if you turn it off then on again which is a criticism of some DABs. My other ALBA DAB radio's display broke after a short time so I will await a better result with this one. All in all a fabulous buy!
