Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wii points too expensive?
Not really In my opinion, although I agree that some NES games are a tad over priced like soccer etc at 500 Wii points!

Apart from the obvious advantage of Virtual console in that you don't need 27 consoles hooked up to your TV to play these games you also get new content or bonus levels in some of these games.

As for the "over pricing", if you look at the other systems like the PCEngine/TG16 for example which has some really great and also quite rare games, PCEngine/TG16 games and hardware are now quite collectable and expensive.

To play any PCEngine game you'll obviously need a PCEngine, which will cost between twenty five to forty pounds depending on condition, then you need to modify the console to RGB scart to run games on a UK TV which costs around thirty pounds, then you'll need a colour booster which comes to another thirty pounds and then a copy of R-Type which will cost roughly between fifteen and twenty pounds, which again depends on the condition. Or you if you have a Wii you can download PCEngine games on VC for 600 to 800 points each what's that? about four to six pounds? Bargain!

Also with the recent announcement that Neo geo games will be available for Virtual Console soon which will probably be released at under a tenner a piece instead of two hundred pounds for the actual console and anything from forty to three hundred pounds plus for the games, then I think that Virtual console is not bad at all.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Pretty much pointless and overpriced.
Well, where should i start? 1000 Wii points gets you a N64 game, £7.50 for an emulated N64 game. Go to a secondhand shop and buy an N64 for £5 and the Super Mario 64 cart from a game shop for a couple of quid and play the games they were meant to be played. And then if you dont own a Gamecube, you have to pay £15 for the Classic Controller to be able to play the games. So thats £22.50 to play Mario Kart 64. Yeah, it seems alot more if you think of it that way doesnt it. If you're a Nintendo fanboy, go ahead and buy VC games, thats pretty much the only decent reason to.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good Idea but some drawbacks
This is a great way to get old games but I feel that they are a bit overproced. 2000 points doesnt get much as N64 are 1000 each and NES are 500. If you dont have a wireless router you are also scuppered as the wii connects to the internet to download this way. You can buy a usb-ethernet cable but its specialist nintendo stuff and they are £65 on ebay so its cheaper to buy a netgear DG834G modem router from Amazon.

All in all a good idea but I wish the games were more reasonable than effectively paying £7.50 for an N64 game. You cant transfer the games to other machines either using SD cards as they are coded specifically to the machine that downloaded (so ive been told). If you lose the game or change machines nintendo will let you download it again with their permission.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fantastic
The card doesn't do much. You transfer the points from the card to your wii. That's all. That is everything this card does and ever will do. But it is what you can get with the points that is brilliant. You can download Nintendo games from the NES, the SNES and the N64, plus you can get megadrive games and turbographx games. At the moment the selection of games is not great, but later in 2007 we will see things like smash bros and mario party become available for download. It is also rumoured that nintendo may let small developers make games for downloading! How good is that!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Use point to buy games on your Wii
If you like the old game on your Wii you need the points!

Many old game are on the Wii, tennis and mario are my favurite

You like them too buy them! Simple and Easy with the points!
