Electronics : Kenwood KDC-W3537A Radio CD / MP3 / WMA Receiver

- Excellent, simple, great sound
This is a superb budget player which I have still yet to get to grips with (so many features). Crisp, clear sound on the CD, excellent bass and actually makes your factory fitted speakers sound ok. Just a few of things that you should be aware of. I fitted mine in a Skoda Fabia (stop the jokes about increasing the value!) What the manual does not tell you is that you MUST switch the red and yellow wires around (the excellent Kenwood website shows you how) or your player loses its memory, same applies with all VW's. The AUX input must be switched on, again the manual is rubbish at describing how, once again go to the Kenwood website and the FAQ section for car radio's (you must also crank up the sound a touch when playing your i-pod for some reason). Finally get a radio booster from halfords (PC5-52) The Skoda factory HU has it in the player, so reception will be rubbish. But saying that, an excellent buy!

Well, this Kenwood Receiver is very good, it provides a large amount of bass out of a Honda Civic Vtec 1999, and so that is saying something. This receiver provides clarity and bass making it a good all rounder with its also very good features such as the Front AUX. I would recommend this Reciever to anybody who just wants to crank up there old system without having to buy new speakers, however if used for a standard system i would advise you not to take the system too loud without knowing how many watts rms the standard unit is, to make sure the original speakers are not damaged. But in overall its a good, stylish reciever!!!
