- Excellent player, lousy earphones
The player itself is fantastic, really nice and small, easy to use, the menu is very intuitive and simple. the earphones are absolutely lousy - i used my ARCHOS earphones on it, and wow, the quality was so much better. Its a shame that apple tries to cut costs by selling such lousy earphones. besides, the player is black, and apple supples white earphones and white cables and docking station. rather stupid. hence, just 3 stars. Maybe the archos 105 may be a better product. or the creative zen, which has a built in FM radio.

I have been very pleased with my new Nano so far, I've had it for a week. Plus points are its looks, its bright-clear display and its sound (when you get some decent headphones). Negative points are the supplied headphones and the very sensitive navigation wheel.
I've used iTunes for a while just on my PC so I don't have an issue with it, you can still buy MP3 files from other sources and import them. I understand that video is more problematic but I haven't tried that.

Very nice bit of kit, easy to use, I-Tunes is well made and pretty simple to sync with the Ipod.
Sound quality depends on the CD and how big you allow the files to be, I have found 128 to be desired for good crisp sound quality
Battery seems to last quite well, I honestly have not give that much attention but I rarely charge it.
Only gripe is the space, somehow I think I will need more...
Oh! The earphones are not brilliant, get some in ear ones or a set of can headphones!

Good on apple for a great portable audio device just shame about the space and headphones.

Having never owned an iPod before and being quite content with previous mp3 players, I was unsure as to whether it would be worth the outlay.
I took the risk (8Gb nano) and so far,I have been delighted. The screen is very bright which makes the objects on screen clearer. The sound quality is very good and using iTunes was not a problem. I don't see how you could struggle with this iPod or the software. To put video onto the iPod you will needto convert the video files but this only takes a few moments(I haven't converted a large file yet so it remains to be seen) and is then stored in the videos folder on iTunes.
Definetly recommend this product to anybody and will probably stay with the iPod range

I got a present of this WONDERFUL iPod for Christmas & it is just BRILLANT. Go get 1 today I know they are a bit pricey but so worth it!
