Electronics : Apple iPod nano 8GB black

Rating: - User Friendly, Compact, Easy to Use.......maybe?
Here goes, Just like the iPod Nano, quick easy and simply, this is my simplistic review in favour of the iPod Nano.

Good Points:
- Bright Screen
- Album cover flow, nice touch and works well**
- Plays Videos well and is easy to use, although upload is mentioned further down
- Small, discreet, and light, be careful you still have it in that pocket though lol!
- Photos, can store many albums and acts for me as a backup, should by Laptop die perhaps.
- Apples assured build quality, this is a tough and sturdy little device, sit on it, and chances are it will never snap in half, no matter how wide somebody may be.

Bad Points:

- Scroll wheel is too sensitive for some
- Converting Videos to the iPod Nano is difficult if not purchased from the less than perfect iTunes webstore :(
- iTunes is again notoriously difficult to use, if like me a full time 1st user, it can be damned frustrating and different than other medi interfaces in places (Note: Only the Latest iTunes will work with this Nano, so be mindful and download from the website before hand, otherwise it will not work at all).

In Summary: Thet are bound to be bad points, but if you are buying this for another person who has never had and iPod before, they will long for nothing but in the future for their music collection i'm sure, if you are upgrading, the iTunes download and interface is a major concern for many people, I personally found it ok, not great but not that easy to navigate and use at times, but once mastered, it is good and the Sync fuction is just simplicity at it's best.

Overall the Nano is a nice small little player, ideal for music, ok if you like watchng videos on something so small, and a useful backup for pictures, easy to use, and once mastered, the fiddly little scroll wheel that requiers nothing more than the tiniest touch to move will get easier with time.

A worth while purchase, Cheaper than other iPods such as the Touch, Classic and Phone, below this is the Shuffle and isn't really worth looking at as a good player.

**The Album cover flow is touchy and quite fiddly to use, also iTunes will not always in many cases get the album art to fill the menu with the images of your favourite bands and artists, I personally and very methodically copied and pasted using google images to insert them all in, which takes many hours dependant on the size of your music collection, I feel this to be a maajor letdown but if like me you can be patient and thourough you will learn to love this iPod nano.

Rating: - smart non performer
I bought this for my grown up son for Christmas. It looks lovely but this machine only lasted a week before it froze while downloading from itunes. All attempts to restore following the instructions failed and the message we now receive is that the ipod is corrupt. Amazon have refused the return of this non-working machine - and so I would not recommend this to anyone. Incidentally when I mentioned it to two other people yesterday they had encountered exactly the same problems (one of them with the replacement as well as the original). I am consequently £120 poorer.

Rating: - iPod Nano
Great little machine, easy to sync music, videos and movies. Very slim. Plays music to a consederably high standard. Be careful if u are wanting to put movies and videos on there aswell as music, the space goes down very quickly so you must buy the 8GB. Be cautious of the movies you put on there because some movies can take up one GB max. Check the size of the file you are putting on there. Be sure to buy an adaptor for the mains because you can only charge it through the computer. The battery wears down very quickly.

Rating: - exactly wat it says on the box..
this is one great ipod...and yes..apple boast about it, and y wudnt they its the best music player ive ever owned. BUT! with THE great products they're is always something suprising, that'll keep u entertained 4 hours..unfortunatly this ipod lacks that. Everything it says is done, and to perfection!!! Cover-flow, a great feature that is more of a novelty than a quicker way to find the music ure looking for, great fun all the same. The last of my winging is the battery life isnt quite wat it livs up to be, not sure wether its just mine but it doesnt last as long a u wud expect. Great music player, great fun, great ipod!

Rating: - fantastic little thing
well you know they say that the best things come in small packages, well the ipod nano is proof. this is the first ipod i've had and i love it. cover flow is great and so responsive, would be better if itunes could find all of my album covers but no biggy.
the click wheel might be small but what do you expect on a product this small, it can just slip into your pocket and forget its there.
uploading videos and pictures i found quite easy but its a little annoying that they have to be put in a folder before you sync it.
sound quality is fab and i cant see how people have problems with the headphones, but if they do annoy you, just go buy some different ones.
absolutely love my nano and will recomend it to anyone, but go for the 8GB versions as you soon run out of memory with videos, pics and music put on, but such a great little thing
