Video Games : Call of Duty 4 (PC DVD)

- Would prefer not to follow a team round!
So looking forward to this game and sadly a bit disappointed.
Good points:
Amazing Graphics - the best I've seen
Accurate shooting and graphic shot scenes
Good story
Bad points:
A few glitches with occasional hanging despite a high spec computer
You follow a team round. You don't have command of the team but you just follow them so when the narrator says find the house due south, you don't have the thrill of trying to find a new location, you just follow the team. This really is my main gripe. Shame as the idea is good.
Too short...or maybe I'm too good - NOT
Overall a good game; better than MOH Airbourne cos it lasted longer than 2 evenings, but still not worth the wait and the money.

- Back to Infinity Ward. Amazing game, even better on PC!
Whilst this game is awesome on all consoles, I'd personally reccommend it for PC because of the multiplayer: PC multiplayer has many advantages, most of all the fact that servers can have over 50 people in them, rather than the 16 max you get with other consoles. Multiplayer, as you might have guessed, is a major part of CoD4, and accompanies an equally great single-player.
The first time I heard about this game, the idea of a modern Call of Duty had me a little baffled. However, the modern settings are amazing, and improves on the old WW2 format on many levels. The demo doesn't begin to show how great and cinematic this game is (personally, I think they chose the worst level for the demo!). The modern settings have allowed IW to be far more creative than they could with the old games. No longer just plain old "A German advance is blah blah blah...", the game is now made far more interesting with a developed story-line, with nukes, hostages, two AMAZING sniper levels, etc.
Despite the new laser-sights, night-vision, etc. the gameplay still maintains the intensity and style of CoD 1 and 2.
The game looks great even on low settings, and surprisingly isn't too demanding regarding system requirements.
I could go on for longer, but frankly if you haven't already got this game, you need to come out of the hole that you must have been living in for the past year!
Rating: - Beats everything else!
Forget Medal Of Honour, if you want a WW based version, get COD2 for PC or COD3 if you have PS3 such as me :D
COD4 is brilliant, extreme graphics, gameplay and an original storyline to match, the good thing is too, that the storyline is unpredictable. Time after time have i played on older versions of M.O.H and known what was going to happen, but this was such a refresher!
It's also challenging though, which is something i enjoy in a game, i love to be able to try something and have to improve my own abilities.
Really recommended, 5/5 :-)

This has to be the best game i've played in years. The dissapointments and hype over such games as bioshock and crysis almost caused me to give up on games.But this game as definately restored my faith in pc games.. I could not stop playing this,the graphics are just astounding.I have a 8800gts 312mb.A pretty average machine.The sniper section blew me away.Gameplay is spot on.And the missions are very exciting.I hate to say this but its better than FEAR! which as been my favourite up to now.It took me 8 hours to complete non stop.And now that i've finished ..i'm going to start again.Its that good. Infinity have done a brilliant job.Well done guys! Total immersion and excitement rolled into one.
You have to be completely bonkers not to buy this!!!Please please release the next installment!!!!

I would LOVE to be able to tell you how brilliant this game is. I certainly have enjoyed the other Call of Duty games and this is SUPPOSED to be the best yet BUT... Even though I have installed it on my PC (which exceeds the min specs by quite some margin!!!) When I try to play it, it reports: CANNOT LOCATE DVD-ROM, PLEASE INSERT CORRECT DVD-ROM AND TRY AGAIN.
Sadly doing this does NOT solve the problem and ACTIVISION support do not respond to emails. VERY ANNOYED!
