Never thought about an ipod until we saw the huge number of cds you could transfer onto this gorgeous looking device. Hugely convenient! Absolutely love it. Not a hi-fi nerd so not too worried about reports concerning sound quality and headphones. Two points: itunes seems a little slow and not as easy to use a windows media player and invest in case when you purchase it. Small scratches appeared on the the back of mine wthin minutes and I only placed it on the dining-room table whilst it was charging. Finally, if you're looking for a sound dock, I recommend the Klipsch iGrooveHG...it's brilliant - just read the reviews on this site.

iPods have always been brilliant in my opinion, but this one is quite simply perfect!
For a start, it's ultra thin, it looks gorgeous, and for the first time, the black has a matt finish so finger prints don't show up.
Also, the software for this new generation marks a huge advance. The interface has changed for the better, and one thing I particularly like is that as you navigate round your iPod, album covers drift at random across the right hand side of the screen. There's also a load of new extras, including some very snazzy looking new games. I also believe that you can now download new games from the internet onto your iPod, so you can listen and play.
Ultimately, it's a great mp3 player with flawless sound, loads of memory, a great screen, and the wonderful, intuitive design we all know and love. If you can afford the extra money that iPods cost, it truly is worth it, and no times better than now to get one as this latest model is a stroke of gadgetary genius!

As a first time buyer of an ipod i had been worried about getting it as of the bad reviews on here, but i really dont get what the fuss is about! loads of complains that the sound is bad, but works fine too me - with the original earphones. Then theres been other coplains about the clickwheel but thats fine too! The quality of the screen is excellent :) love that the most. it literally took 5 minutes for itunes to put all my songs on there and 1 minute for the photos. Havent tried uploading any videos yet so not sure how long that will take...
The only cons i find with it, is mainly to do with itunes, as it would be so much easier if you could download dvds straight to ur ipod rather than have to download another programme and then move them across, and also that hardly any coverwork comes up instead you have to look on google for the pictures and then copy and paste them. But over all i love it and those bad things dont stop me from giving it 5stars, Great buy too for just £144 on amazon and then delivered in 9days free! certainly recommened it.

id read alot of reviews before buying this Ipod, id had a nano for a while and thought that i could do with something a bit bigger. reading some of the reviews i was a bit worried about some of the features, namely the sound of the music and the speed of the Ipod itself. when i received it (which was supremely quickly, thumbs up to Amazon) i found all my worries were unfounded. the sound was fine admittedly i wasnt using the Ipod headphones but all the same the sound quality was good. i am a great fan of iTunes and was happy with that anyway. also the Ipod itself was fast to use, and looks great.
all in all a great buy and i would recommend it to anybody who was looking for an upgrade or for anybody looking for their first mp3 player

Ok so i got my iPod for christmas like others and this was my first iPod (infact Apple product!) So i can happily say i have not had a major problem yet. Ok so iTunes does suck but you can deal with it, its not hard to use just import your music etc. & then drag it to your iPod. Simple as that!
The only cons i have towards it are that the click wheel is slightly unresponsive (i dont know if thats just mine?) and the when i put my music on it only about 90% of the cover art when on YET it was all tagged to the albums etc. So i had to do that again. In conclusion i think for £150 80GB is a bargin and worth every penny. Of course i would read up about it before buying (not here) apple forums are a good place as there are certain problems that might occur (luckly i havent had any) but you might not be as lucky. Good Luck!
