Fantastic little player. I defy you to find better at this price!
Beware: Initially, I couldn't get Windows to see it. All it took was a USB setting change in one of Sansa's menus, but as the player was supplied discharged and the menus aren't available when connected to (powered by) the computer it was a bit chicken-and-egg to get it going.
Don't let this put you off. I like it a lot.

The best basic player I have seen, tiny, gorgeous and very well designed. Pros: Radio is excellent, takes normal headphone jack, v.small (1x1.5inches) and lightweight, ideal for jogging etc, great screen, drag and drop with no need to install software, well designed intuitive interface. Cons: Only 2Gb, can only select music using artist/album etc (taken from mp3 tags?) rather than being able to browse through folders as with most drag drop players? Still, would highly recommend it.

I have to say i'm very disappointed with this MP3 player. Like, Guissepe, (who also left a similar review) I think it suffers from below average sound quality. The sound is very thin and metallic and is lacking in bass. The custom EQ option is awful. Hardly improves the sound quality at all. I tried buying a decent pair of headphones in an effort to improve the sound quality but to no avail.
Don't get me wrong though, it's not all bad. The features are very nice for such a compact player. The built in recharger is a good option, but you can only recharge via a PC which begs the questions as to what happens when the built-in recharger pops its clogs.
The FM radio (one of the reasons I bought it) is a disappointment. I can only receive about 6/7 stations in an area with good reception which is in contract to the manufacturers claim that it can pick up 40.
I had an Aigo MP3 player a few years ago which cost half the price and had much, much better sound.
I just think that Sandisk have put all of their eggs in one basket and made the design attractive to look at (in order to sell more of the things I imagine) but have not paid any thought to the thing that matters the most - the music.

I love listening to the radio, and also wanted an mp3 this product had both at a reasonable price. It is tiny, and holds so much :) I have now got a charger for the mp3, which means i can charge it up anywhere. The charger comes with an international plug as well which is ideal for holidays. Ticks all my boxes. It lost a "star" cause i'm still not 100% sure how to use it properly, but i'm sure i will learn in time. After all 2 weeks isn't that long....

I bought this mp3 player to use when away from home. I am very pleased with its performance - but what the blurb does not tell you is that, as sold, it can only be recharged through the usb port of a computer. Not much use if you need to recharge it and do not have access to a computer. Bear in mind that you have to buy an accessory charger.
