Great to have another game that uses the Wii fit.
Have only just started to use this game, but so far the graphics are good and there is variation to just skiing down a slope. I can't see why this would not be fun for a variety of age groups, especially within a family.

I got a balance board when they first were released and absolutely love the Wii Fitness game. I saw that this software was compatible with the balance board too and decided to go for it.
I'm absolutely thrilled with this game. It is challenging, but fun at the same time, and if you'd just like to have a ski around the various slopes in the resort and not race/participate in challenges, that's fine.
The controls are very easy to master and the on-screen description of how to do things in Ski School is also fantastic.
I'd highly recommend that you buy this game, especially if you have a balance board and want to add an extra dimension to its use.

This game is pretty good fun, but there are areas which definitely could have been improved.
If you've just finished playing the very limited (but fun) skiing game in wii fit, then you won't be that impressed with Family Ski's graphics - which are considerably less impressive.
The way the nunchuk and Wii remote are used as ski poles is a great idea, but leaning forward on the balance board would have also been a good way to control speed, as you can in wii fit. Overall there is a bit too much reliance on the joystick and button controls you have to use. For example, to stop you have to pull down on the nunchuk contol stick. It basically just takes away from the feeling of actuall skiing.
I enjoyed exploring the happy ski resort and would have given this game an extra star if its graphics were a bit brighter, bolder and cleaner.

When i got family ski and had a go it was hard at first but i learn't it . You will find it fun and challenging .
