Having bought the unit I am happy with it. The picture quality is good but not excellent you can see some scanlines and at times you can notice slight banding. Picture quality is best with DVD and Divx, playback is good and text is generally sharp. It plays back most DivX films but I have found some it won't play, but plays majority. I also bought this Player to hook upto my Gamecube and PS2 as a small monitor. You will need a A/V cable for your console with the standard yellow, red and white phono connectors.
