Shinco SDP-1720A Portable DVD Player with 7" Display and Travel Casefrom: Shinco April 05, 2005 Like many reviewers, I bought this player for my holiday, mainly on the strengths of price and performance, and having used it (and continue to use it) I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone. First the minus: the car headrest case that it's supposed to sit in is frankly rubbish. However...the battery life is absolutely superb and I've never had it run out before the end of a film. It comes with a car charger as well so is perfect for long car journeys. It played all the regions I tried it with (UK, US and Aus) in terms of DVD, plus after ripping loads of CD's to MP3 format and then writing them to DVD, it played those too!
