. D-Link D-Link 2 Bay Network Storage Enclosurefrom: D-Link November 12, 2006 I had this device since it came out and it is very very good. After updating the buggy firmware, it has been permanently on for over a year now and I have not had any problems with it at all. I use it as a media server and for backing up my PCs. Latest firmware adds jumbo frames and given that it comes with gigabit ether it is fast! In fact, the speed is only limited by disks. Also, given that it runs Linux, you can really customize it. Mine now also runs an Apache web server, a MySQL db server + a bunch of other services my network needs. It was easy to set up and i love it. Could not recommend it more. |
