. Sony Entry CD Clock Radio ICF-CD814from: Sony August 22, 2006 The functions on this unit are great. It has two alarm settings (one for during the week and one for weekends) which is great. The sound quality for the CD player is fine. The setting up was easy thanks to the decent instructions. BUT - I can't use it. There is a low hum emitted at all times by the unit (nothing to do with the CD Player) and because I want it on the bedside table (near my head) it keeps me awake. I have been onto Sony but they are not helpful, advising me to take it to a Service Centre - I suppose it is unlucky that there are none near me. So not a great product unless you are a heavy sleeper. |
