Panasonic RR-US450E-H Digital IC Voice Recorderfrom: Panasonic June 03, 2007 This recorder uses 2 AAA batteries and is supposed to last 30 hours or so (I've only just bought it, I didn't have time to test this claim). It allows you to copy sound from the device into your computer using a USB cable (supplied) and the supplied software, which converts the sound file into .wav format. It is intended for voice recording, and has a feature Panasonic calls "zoom" which is supposed to make it easier to record the speaker from within a room full of people. It records voice quite well, and has decent playback features (play, pause, rewind, fast-forward, fast-rewind, fast-fast-forward, variable speed playback).
