I chose the Sony as I've always been impressed with the quality of their gear. I have to say I've not been disappointed. Sound quality is very good once you've junked the 'phones that come with it. I bought a pair of Sennheisers which improved the richness of sound and comfort. This combined with the equaliser feature on the player means I can tailor the sound to the type of music I'm listening too. The range of adjustment is really impressive. Battery life has not been a problem. Normally I'm transferring a disc once a week which seems to keep the charge up. On a weeks holiday I still had 3/4 left at the end.
