. Ricky Hatton - A Life Storydirected by: Ricky Hatton November 12, 2007 In the history of boxing film/documentaries 'Ricky Hatton A Life Story' could have been a loser. The brief outline on the back of the dvd does not bode well: family interviews, career achievements, fight details. Play the 1hour 47 minute film, however, and you will be left gasping. I have never been a fan of the 'Rocky' films and even Scorsese's 'Raging Bull' lingers on the personality too much. It was always 'When We Were Kings' that enthralled me with its differing perspectives closing-in on one particular fight. 'Ricky Hatton A Life Story' is a complete all rounder with insight, narrative progression, visual flair and intimate reality.
