Sphere 1.3 megapixel Skype-webcam - Mac OS Xfrom: Sogatel This is a cheap product and it feels it and the picture quality is bad and the software for it is absolutely minimal and only works for Skype. It won't work with all the other built in apps that use a webcam unless you purchase additional software. Instead spend the extra and get a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 Webcam, which gives a Hi-Def video quality, works with everything and needs no software, it works out of the box. Oh and the mic is excellent and is linked into a single USB connection to the Mac. I am not sure when OS X included universal drivers for webcams but I am running 10.5 on both my Macs and they worked beautifully out of the box. |
