. Thomson Top Up TV - 250Gb Freeview Twin Tuner Digital TV Recorderfrom: Thomson February 19, 2008 I bought this box as it had a deal with Setanta sports. However I'm now trying to return it as it compares very badly to my Windows Media Center and V+ box. Outside of the usability issues the most annoying feature is the frequent crashes when playing back recorded TV programs. AKA it is most useless at the one thing it is supposed to do over a cheaper Freeview Receiver Box. As we seem to have patches downloaded everyday I think Thomson know they made a bad box here - I don't know if patching will fix it eventually but they would do well to look at the V+ and Sky+ boxes on how to do this more seemlessly. For the price I would look elsewhere. |
