Lamaze have a wide range of items for babies which all seem to work well. Stretch the Giraffe contains a wide range of colours, rattles etc to stimulate baby and keep him interested. The belly is black, white and blue - easy colours for baby to focus on in the early days. When baby is a little older he'll be interested in the dangly stretchy legs - one foot has a squeaker, two have (different) rattles and the fourth one is crunchy. There are numerous 'taggie' ribbons on Stretch which babies seem to find fascinating. Even later on baby will make good use of the teething rings. we bought these from another company at a higher price but still found them worth it!! when our daughter was small we entertained her with them (away from her hands and feet.) she loved them then!! They are also a great toy now that she can find her hands and feet.
We have discovered that she also likes to hold them and wiggle them around!!
To the point, although i agree that the socks may come off easily and also that the rattle is rather quiet, i still believe these to be a worthwhile investment, bright, engaging, entertaining and interesting for the baby who is not quite into everything!!

Tomy Octopals Bath Toy

OK like many of these bath toys they are good fun and can keep you playing in the bath with the kid(s) for ages.
But a note of caution!
When finished playing with them in the water make sure you empty out the water from these things.
As over time mould will build up inside of them and you see little dark spots inside. If the child puts them to their mouths and squirts of sucks from them like most will do then these mould spots will be swallowed.
They also will appear in the bath water as I have discovered.

my daughter is 3 months old and although she looks at toys she has never really explored them. I saw the jacques peacock on a buggy in town and the mum said she brough it from amazon.
Well it arrived this morning and my baby as not put it down! shes grabbing it, putting it in her mouth, kicking it, crinkling it, batting it with her hands.... best toy i've brought so far!!
would definaley recommend this toy for a young baby!

my daughter is 3 months old and although she looks at toys she has never really explored them. I saw the jacques peacock on a buggy in town and the mum said she brough it from amazon.
Well it arrived this morning and my baby as not put it down! shes grabbing it, putting it in her mouth, kicking it, crinkling it, batting it with her hands.... best toy i've brought so far!!

I can't give this 5 stars, because I was honestly hoping for a little more light. I really wanted something to read by, and there is no way this is bright enough.

With that in mind though, this has been surprisingly useful. It's dim enough that if my partner is home late I can leave it on the bedside table and still sleep. It does give a welcoming glow left on a windowledge, and is attractive enough to leave on the windowledge to charge up. I've used it as lighting whilst watching TV in an evening. I've even used it to go get logs after dark.

It feels a little expensive compared to solar-powered garden lights, which actually give more light I think. But this is a really nicely made and pleasing object that I'm happy to give ... Read More:

Fisher-Price Sit-to-Stand Giraffe Activity Tower

My daughter is 9 months and has had the giraffe for about a month. She stands up using it no problem and immediately stops crying and turns to it if I start playing with it and she is upset. We had no problems at all and all her cousins (1yr to 4yrs) love playing with it too.

Lamaze - Balancing Bug Stacker

Great fun. My son is 9 months and loves the bugs. We make towers we play with them individually and he loves banging them together in the car. They are brighly coloured and the legs and wings are tough rubber and my little boy also loves chewing them.

This is my sons favourite toy - it is brilliant and can be taken everywhere because it doesn't make a noise. It keeps babies entertained for hours. The tank has liquid inside it and is great fun, each fish has a different texture and they are really bright and interesting. Children will spend ages taking the fish out and putting them back. Simple, but it works. I bought it for my son when he was four months and he is still playing with it at 9 months.

I bought this toy for my son when he was born as he is a baby that is always awake so needs lots of stimulation. This has been one of the best buys as he loves the squeaker and the colours meant he could see it when he was a few weeks old. It also rattles and he is now able to get hold of the rings at the bottom to chew. I actually put this toy in the washing machine when it fell out of the car and it was fine - the squeaker still works. A must have for those with active babies.
