Tomy Starlight Dreamshow

My little boy loves this, and I do too. It's great for distracting him as I leave the room before he goes to sleep. Wish it lasted longer than 10 mins though this is generally long enough.

My son is now 10 months and has started hitting the star so that it rattles the side of his cot so not sure how much longer it will be of use to us. Also, I live in Northern Scotland and even with blackout blinds its not dark enough at night in the summer to see the light show, still benefit from the music though.

This is a good monitor, the sound is great and there is no interference, but I agree with other peoples opinions about the battery life being low, and i've also had the same problem of the lights flickering on the parent unit when there is no actual sound. The night light is lovely but there should be a seperate button because you can turn the monitor off when trying to turn the night light on and vice versa. I also like that you can turn the night light on and off using the parent unit. The best feature is the room temperature display as its pretty accurate and provides peace of mind in my opinion. Overall this monitor has great sound and some nice features, but it could be improved.

The Teletubbies bath Island is a lovely bathtime toy (if not a bit cumbersome if you are short of space)
My daughter has had hours of fun with this but I would like parents to note that the small parts do come unattached very easily and my little boy could and can destroy this in seconds....
All the Teletubbies float so they can be used on their own and they, to be quite honest, have been used the most.

Bought this for when my nephew comes to stay. As far as features go, it's not particularly complex, but for £30 you get Tomy quality and a decent monitor. You have the ability to take your unit outside into the garden and the choice of four channels gives you more chance of finding one that is free of interference.
I like the fact that the monitor has two-way communication, so you can talk to your baby with soothing sounds or whatever. This is probably something that we can make use of in later years when my nephew can communicate with us.
There is an in-built scrambling device which has 65,000 combinations ensuring that the chances of anyone listening-in are quite remote!

Tomy : Winnie The Pooh Moonlight Dreamshow

It sounds great on paper - soothes your baby to sleep and should they awaken during the night, it is sound-activated and should soothe them back to sleep. But as the other reviewers have said, this was far too loud and the slightest noise reactivated it - it woke the baby up and us in the next room! Aside from this the projected image is unclear (had no idea what it was meant to be) Looking at the box gives you the false impression that all sorts of wonderful images are projected round the room...

Do yourselves a favour and buy the Tomy Starlight Dreamshow, we've been using it 6 months now and it still brings a smile to our babies face when we switch it on for bedtime.

WE HAVE AN OLD TOMY WALKABOUT DIGITAL THAT HAS JUST STARTED TO PLAY UP, WELL IT HAS BEEN IN CONSTANT USE FOR 5 YEARS, AND IT NEEDS A SQUEEZE TO CORRECT IT, WELL NOW WE HAVE OUR 3RD BABY WE DECIDED TO PURCHASE WHAT WE THOUGHT WOULD BE A MORE ADVANCED MODEL - NOT THE CASE. THE CONCEPT OF THE TALK BACK FACILITY WAS GREAT BUT THE CONSTANT INTERFERENCE ON IT WAS UNBEARABLE, WE CHANGED THE SETTINGS ON IT SO WE DIDNT HAVE IT ON SUCH A SENSITIVE SETTING BUT THEN THE TALKBACK FACILITY DIDNT PICK UP CLEARLY WHAT WAS BEING SAID. WE NEEDED IT ON SENSITIVE AS WE HAVE A 2 1/2 YEAR OLD WHO FALLS OUT OF BED AND OBVIOUSLY NEEDED TO HEAR THE BUMP! TOMY STARLIGHT DREAMSHOW IN PINK

I bought this for my ten week old baby girl whilst she was sleeping in her moses basket and couldn't have a cot mobile. It's very basic but very cute - it glows a subtle pink colour, has a lovely soothing lullaby that plays for 5 or 10 minutes and a teddy-bear light show that projects onto the ceiling. I turn it on as part of my daughters sleep routine and really works well.

OK like many of these bath toys they are good fun and can keep you playing in the bath with the kid(s) for ages.
But a note of caution!
When finished playing with them in the water make sure you empty out the water from these things.
As over time mould will build up inside of them and you see little dark spots inside. If the child puts them to their mouths and squirts of sucks from them like most will do then these mould spots will be swallowed.
They also will appear in the bath water as I have discovered.

I read that other people have had problem with this monior but we have used tomy monitors on all 3 of our kids and are currently using this one on our 7 month old and we have NEVER had problems. We have clear reception 24/7. It has the advantage of 2 settings, 1 you can have it turned on constantly or 2 where it will only come alive when your baby cries, it has multi volume levels and channels, as well as cry reacting lights and brilliant roaming range, we used that when our son was smaller and we had to nip out into the garden, no problems. In tomy we do trust and always will do, why pay stupid money when this does what you NEED and that is to hear your baby cry!
