Tales of the Vampireby: Joss Whedon, Ben Edlund, Jane Espenson, Brett Matthews, Drew Goddard, Tim Sale, Scott Morse, Mike Mignola December 01, 2004 Tales of the Vampires is more of a moody graphic novel than Tales of the Slayers or BTVS Season 8 and had a threatening undertone that works through the stories. Parts are quite suspensful and evoke that old fear of the bloodsuckers that all vampire stories should. But some of it is jovial in a wicked kinda way, that i suppose is typical of Joss Whedon. There's also some really nice and different graphics in this one, some alot better than the Tales of the Slayer. I'd recommend, as a Buffy fan, and as a fan of the Tales of the Slayers graphic novel and shorts. It's a good slice of something slightly different from some holier than thou slayerness. |
