(Contains spoilers for 'Order of the Phoenix' and slight spoilers for 'Half Blood Prince'.)
This entire series is special but now that it's complete I can safely say this is my favourite. I'll re-read all the books but this one the most.
Review:
After Sirius' death in book five, Dumbledore invites Harry to help him investigate and obtain information regarding Voldermort's past (or to be more precise- Tom Riddle's past). With Voldermort's Deatheaters returning to him en masse, Voldermort is now ready to return to his reign of terror so Dumbledore and Harry must look into his past to see if there is any way of defeating him. These flashback sequences via the pensieve are terrific and really flesh out the character of ... Read More:

I have never read any of Douglas Adams books before; I found this book strange and a bit unusual. But I still enjoyed the story based on an Earthling called Arthur Dent, who wakes up one morning to find the council preparing to demolish his home. This is also the day when the alien Vogons demolish the planet Earth to make way for a hyperspace express bypass.
I decided to watch the film which I thought was good, but the book is in much more detail than the film. So I would recommend you read the book before you watch the film.
If you are somebody that enjoys funny and unusual things then this is the book for you. I think this book would mainly be aimed towards young teenagers and older as it has some things in it, which might be a bit hard for ... Read More:

Perhaps, like me, you're not an avid reader of the fantasy genre. However, anyone who respects good writing should have read Lord of the Rings. LOTR is a contemporary classic and deserves respect as a great novel. So, as other reviewers have said, this audio drama cannot replace the book; it does, however, supplement the book wonderfully and bring Middle-Earth to life.
I don't envy the actors in the forthcoming films the prospect of trying to follow this production. Iam Holm steals the show, William Nighy (such an under-rated actor) adds wonderful comic relief, the late Robert Stephens gives a powerful performance which I can only compare to Burton's best and Michael Hordern and Peter Woodthorpe ARE Gandalf and Gollum.

This version has typos on almost every page. I would recommend spending some more money on the other versions of the Iliad instead. It seems that Wordsworth Classics have just knocked the book out without really doing any proofreading at all.

my friend bought me this for christmas...and to my shame i muttered a thanks then shoved it in my bag. When on the way home i was stuck in a very large traffic jam, boared to tears, when i remembered it was in my bag of pressies. Several hours and chocolate bars excellent fiction later I was hooked. The narration itself kept me wondering just what was comming up, whilst i could have kicked myself for having ingnored such literary talent for so long. Dont' make the mistake I did and get it mixed up with some tacky tv film, the narration conjours pictures inside your head no film maker could live up to.
