I think this is an OK but there are to many abbreviations of words and after reading half the book it becomes very dry and uninteresting.(paint drying moments)
I am sure this book would help you move up the google rankings, but from a programmers perspective I believe you can find all you want on googles website and related forums. Think I wasted my money here.

Web analytics isn't about numbers, page views, hits and sessions. It's about discovering what your users want, what they're doing on your website, and how you can help them get to where they want to be. Avinash does a superb job of explaining this in his book, and if you're in any way serious about doing web analytics the right way, you need to get this book.

I always avoided the Dummies titles, but with Adwords that's where I felt I was. This is a superb introduction to the beast that is adwords, in a very readable way, allowing you to follow along and learn the basics and some of the more advanced stuff.

Announced and marketed as a breakthrough in terms of explaining Google Analytics it delivers a lot of static knowledge. Most of it you can read up logging onto Googles own websites, for example Google Analytics Conversion University. It is written in a cumbersome and dry style and obviously aimed at people who are already "in the know" but it fails to address marketers and business owners with less specific knowledge.
If you really want to understand how Google Analytics works and how it can be utilised for your own business purposes, I would recommend
Web Analytics An Hour a Day by Avinash Kaushik.

As a web designer and online marketer of several years, experience has shown me that very few clients fully understand their role in the development and maintenance of their website.
This book spells out what every business website owner should know. It takes you right through the process of planning, commissioning, marketing and maintenance, in a way that is easy to follow and jargon free.
Whatever your budget, if you are planning to create a website for your business, read this book first. It will save you (and your designer) time, money and stress ... and, most importantly, you'll end up with a website that delivers a return on your investment.

This book is about the new business models afforded by Web 2.0 technologies.
No longer do big companies publish products (like books, movies, software, songs) for us merely to consume. Now we can all be publishers of digital content. We can pubish books and ebooks using web sites like Lulu and CreateSpace; we can mashup web content from web sites, blogs, and other sources using tools like Yahoo! Pipes and Dapper. We can write our own blogs, and share our photos. Best of all, we can do all this for free!
Of course, big business stills wants to make money. And we as individual producers deserve to be paid for our content too -- if it's good enough. So the challenge is: how do we make it pay? Through advertising? Through subscriptions?

When many people think about Facebook, they tend to think of a social network for the younger generation. They assume that Facebook is just a glorified chatroom. Therefore, when doing social marketing, most businesses focus on MySpace and Linked In.
Facebook Marketing states that businesses that exclude Facebook in their social marketing are missing out on important opportunities. There re countless ways that individuals and companies can be noticed, without spamming. If done properly, social networking and even advertising on Facebook can provide a good deal of promotion for any business.
Facebook Marketing takes the entrepreneur through the process of setting up a Facebook account and then making the best use of the network's applications. It ... Read More:

Having looked at eBay's own help pages and read this book I can say that the book is so out of date it is more or less useless!
There is no mention of eBay business accounts, apparently this type of account is a legal obligation for ANY eBay business.
The web-sites referenced in the book are mostly non-existant and tools recommended have all been replaced with updated versions.
Use the eBay help pages instead, at least then you can't go wrong with your buisness.
