I recently purchased this book over amazon and was really intrigued. As this was the first book on the subject that I had found except ofcourse the orion prophecy, I was a bit annoyed that the author kept referring to other works of his. Every other paragraph seemed to begin with 'as you will already know from my other works' etc.

I found this really irritating as I hadn't read all the other books and from the way the author chose to constantly reference himself I felt that maybe this was a book simply made to further stroke his ego!

If you're interested in Christian prophecy and seeing how the current signs of the times fit in with it, then this book will certainly provide some food for thought. Joel has to be one of the most unique authors of this age, given how uncannily close to real life his fictional storylines have been, so I tend to pay some attention to what he feels factually is happening in the world, but like many true Americans, I do feel he tends to concentrate perhaps too much on the US's role in much of what is up ahead. And personally I feel it's got next to no role at all, other than to perhaps precipitate much of what is going to happen in the likes of the Middle East. This is one of the best books I've read! I read it several years ago and again recently. The Vision challenges you spiritually and encourages you live completely for God. Rick Joyner said that you don't have to believe the prophecies as they aren't scripture but there is a lot to learn from them.
I bought and recommended it for some of my friends and they absolutely loved it.

The Late Great Planet Earth

I purchased this book as I was intrigued by bible prophecy and considered this a good starting point. While the book has now dated significantly since its release (Reference to Soviet Russia seems archaic now), I would reccomend it as a decent starting point for those looking into bible revelations.

It makes an light, interesting read, but those seeking a more in-depth and unbiased opinion should look elsewhere, as at times I felt this book was almost preaching at me, almost screaming 'this proves the existence of God, now if you don't believe this you will be cast away upon christ's return', which was somewhat intimidating for someone who has an agnostic opinion on 'the superior being'.

For a heavier read try 'The Character Map' by H.E. Eickleberry.
