As has been mentioned - all drivers should have a copy of this book as it lays out very simply exactly what you should and shouldn't do in most situations on the road.
So many of us drive, ride or use the roads and we need to understand the ground rules - for less than the price of a pint, you can use it to dazzle your team-mates in pub quizzes, or settle those perennial arguements (what is the speed limit for a van on a dual carraigeway anyway?).
It's an absolute bargain - so if you find yourself frustrated by modern road designs and signs, or get confused by how to deal with some of the strange new junctions - get a copy.

A book that is simply not written to be understood. A book that can only really be read if purchased with other guides. A book written by persons that have no idea about this industry. A black cable can now be live, existing blue cables now may be live but new blue ones will be neutrals. Persons will die because of these Regs. Written by so called experts that do not care how much it all costs. Let's put RCDs or RCBOs on everything. Why buy it, because you have to.

I bought this book with high hopes of reading strong and convincing arguments against the idea of there being a supreme being. I'm no religious person and have my doubts that there is a god but this book is soooooo boring, disjointed, repetitive and clogged with very weak and almost ridiculous arguments and analogies. c'mon prof dawkins, u cud hav done better!

total waste of money...i cud have written a better book on the subject!

I'm no expert on cbt or any type of psychology and I'm always slightly wary. CBT, however, was recommended to me by a psychologist to assist me to help my client group - troubled young people. I love the 'for Dummies' series as they are really easy to read but provide you with quite a broad knowledge for a layman. There is a wealth of sound practical advice in this book for everybody and I can't believe how much I'm learning about myself and my incorrect thinking and its effects. This book requires a lot of concentration (although the style of writing is easy) and effort to think the material through and also to complete the exercises but it really is life-changing. Richard Mabey is the author of several books on flora and fauna so he is well qualified to write a book such as this. Over one hundred edible plants are featured together with recipes and other culinary information. There is also information on how to pick and when to pick and the regulations on picking which are very important. As I come from farming stock I have to say that food for free does not mean going into a field and digging up a few potato plants or for that matter cabbages.

There are plenty of hedgerow plants available for free, if you are prepared to look for them and suffer the odd few scratches. There is nothing better than a bowl of freshly picked blackberries or raspberries, if you can get them home before they ... Read More:

Although I found this book helpful I felt that it could have contained alot more practice questions. Half of the book talks about why you want to be a doctor and how to write your personal statement when really what I wanted was more practice questions which were in another book I bought.
