I have just received this book and it looks good - so I'm not reviewing the contents, just want to point out that if your read the above synopsis it makes a reference to "Six Sigma/Lean" - there is no Lean in the index or chapter headings - there is a chapter on Six Sigma which is quite different from Lean.

If you've always always fancied building robot or have been experimenting for a while, this book is a must have. It has loads of info, tips & tricks, and generally useful reference material. The authors clearly know their stuff and have made this third edition an incredibly useful book to have. Thanks!

Attending Sheffield Hallam University where K.Dutton and B.Barraclough teach I must say that the book is very well structured. Having been taught by the two gentlemen I can say that the book is a very much needed part of there course's. But it is a good tool for exam revision and indeed a good teaching tool.

Multiple View Geometry in Computer Vision

The book focuses on the 3D reconstruction part of computer vision and its description on the basis of projective geometry.
The explanations of projective geometry and the justification of the use of homogeneous coordinates is by far better than in the classic book by O. Faugeras or any other book I found so far.
It's an optimum starting point for all PhD students in the area. However it's important to have the errata list (available online at ...ox.ac.uk anywhere).

I like the way the material is presented, you can follow the ideas all the way, no short cuts of any kind. It also have plenty usefull example with Matlab code, for easy and fast learning.

Before reading this book I had read and heard a lot of other authors and always felt that there is something missing, that feeling of incomplete-ness if you know what I mean. I could not get the clear picture of the main concepts. I read Brian Tracey, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Anthony Robbins, Jim Rhon, Stephen Covey etc etc. Even though these authors always opened a new window, gave me a new insight but still this feeling was there.

I bought this book after recommendations in one of audio books and reading the reviews on amazon.co.uk and amazon.com. One of the reviewer said "buy this book and you won't need any other self help book" and that is absolutely true. This book just blew my mind. Every chapter, every page a whole new insight. ...
