I love Anne of Green Gables and thought this book would be just as good.
Emily is a spoilt brat. She seems to think, along with everyone else at New moon farm, that being a Murrey means you are better than everybody else. She is always feeling sorry for herself. the way she goes on about aunt Elizabeth, who is really a big softie, is very annoying. Her teacher had a perfect right to tell her off when she was writing poetry instead of doing her maths, and yet she goes on about how mean she is.
She only become friends with people who are either clever, determind, or pretty, most people don't seem good enough for herto be with according to the book.

What a lovely little book. Perfect for a plane or train journey. Amusing, romantic a most enjoyable read. Sandra Brown at her best, I would like to hear more about 22 Indigo Place both before and after this book.

If you need a book about grammar or literary agents then this isn't it. It is a book purely about releasing creative energy through the medium of writing.
Personally, I found the book exciting to read. I was burning up with enthusiasm to get at the word processor and I actually followed the concrete advice he gives. All I can say is that it worked for me: I had not written before and I have now.
Surely the most important thing for a writer is to write and be passionate about writing? If there is a better way to say what you want to say then be a filmaker or a painter or a critic.

A wonderful wonderful story, which takes me far back into my childhood.I have searched for this edition for my two year old son,for i am sure he will enjoy it as much as i did.Do i worry that it will make him a racist ,certainly not.Children learn how to be racist from human behaviour, not from storybooks!

This is probably the most imprtant book in the whole of communications theory. Although limited in some respects in what it achieved (it was surpassed by some later work by Kolmogorov et al.) this is still the fundamental text in its area. The reader will find that some of the terminology will appear somewhat arcane - a result of 40 years of the development of information processing - but the content will more than maks up for it. It is a shame that this book has become largely forgotten. This book is truly a work of historical importance and a keystone in the developmemt of the communications industry.

With all the fuss and furore surrounding Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia, Charles Williams remains the poor relation among the Inklings, that group of Oxford intellectuals who regularly met over a pint at the pub to discuss their latest writings. Where Tolkien and Lewis both invented entire fantasy universes in which to set their epics, Williams works on a smaller scale, setting his books firmly in between-the-wars Middle England. For all that, he concerns himself just as much with the great archetypal myths as either of the other two: it's just that he puts them in an everyday context. Spiritual Thrillers, he liked to call them.
War in Heaven starts out as an Agatha Christie-type Murder Mystery among book publishers but rapidly turns ... Read More:

I would classify this as a fantasy novel, aimed very simple minded readers. The story line is so hackneyed and trite that it has none of the claimed inspirational value at all.
