I am sorry but it doesn't do what it says on the label. A guided meditation, I felt as tense and uptight at the end as I did before I started. I didn't feel as if the meditation was going anywhere, not to a relaxed state, not to a sense of peace, calm or tranquility, I felt as though I was always hovering on the edge of something about to happen.

Amazon.com reviewers have stated that this product brings the Bible to life. I agree. When I used the NIV as my printed translation of choice (1991-2008), I listened to Zondervan's excellent "Dramatised NIV" (ISBN 9780310918639) - a quality Audio Bible in its own right. But enormous effort and dedication has gone into producing the Bible Experience. The voices, background music & special effects all kick ass. Acts 5:23 sounds like a line from a rap-song; u can picture the narrator wearing shades and a baseball cap, ya know what am sayin'? What a refreshing, original way to narrate the Bible! There's also a bonus DVD, which is interesting. The 80-CD set is presented in Zondervan's usual, tastefully designed zip-up case.

These 'best' episodes have previously been available on LP record and cassette. These new CD's contain material which was edited out of the original releases - particularly from "Sid's Mystery Tours" and "Sunday Afternoon at Home", while "Wild Man of Woods" includes a lovely verbal slip from Bill Kerr. So if you think you know these episodes, you might find yourself pleasantly surprised to find new lines, and new laughs.

Having listened to the surviving original BBC radio episodes for years. I welcome the decision to "revive" the lost radio episodes, and I look forward to more of them. Readers of this review will know that only about one third of the long radio Paul Temple broadcast series survives. This "revival" project seeks, by using contemporary microphones, sound effects and the original Francis Durbridge scripts, to recreate the original productions for today's audience.

Slight production differences are noticeable. Sound effects, crowd noises, etc. are suggested here rather than overplayed as they used to be. And Miss Marple is the old spinster she uses most of the time to do this. Urban bleakness will go to Hercule Poirot, the continental and Belgian private eye, the very challenger of Sherlock Holmes. The bleakness of a village where everyone is locked up in set roles they have to play day after day and forever. Let some new character appear and everything is prone to tilt over without even showing what is really happening. Since one cannot get out of his or her role, he or she is going to correct the problem to his or her advantage and without anyone knowing about it. Floss (Book & CD)

This is one of my 2 year old son's favourite books. It will be appreciated by any little boy or girl who likes dogs, tractors and farms. The drawings are fantastic, my husband grew up on a farm not disimilar to the one floss lives on and it has brought back many memories for him. A lovely bedtime book.
