this is amazing if you are just starting out or already into medation this will fill you with energy,you can feel it the more you do it the ums and arr---s are brill you will feel the vibration,
both sides are great morn and evening,there is something else up there,
i read a book [the calling of your true self] at the same time which combined will help you understand there is more,

I've tried a couple of audio language courses in the past and this is one of the better ones. It doesn't really offer anything significantly different so far as I can tell - but I've only done half of the first CD so far. It has got me up to saying the usual inanities(hello, please, thank you etc.) but as soon as I get a fast and furious Polish response I'm lost! The lessons are clear but there is no written material so you do have to listen closely and of course it doesn't help much with reading Polish street signs etc. I'll persevere and if I have an epiphany moment then I'll update the review.
Update: I've just noticed other reviewers referring to a 46 page booklet.

I wanted to provide a review as a counter-balance to the other, more positive reviews.
I am currently reading 'Full Catastrophe Living' and purchased the CD to help me practice meditation. To be honest, I wish I'd stuck to just the book! Jon seems like a lovely, compassionate man but I find him incredibly annoying!
I tried the 'eating meditation' first and could not stop myself from giggling everytime he said the word 'raisin'! I love the New York accent but, unfortunately, I do not find it relaxing. His constant repetition, particularly of the words 'moment...by moment...by moment...by moment...by moment' (you get the picture!) is irritating beyond belief. A lot of the time I just wsished he'd shut up and leave me to it! I suspect Jon likes ... Read More:

This book/CD set comprises numerous short songs sung in spanish by spanish children. The book includes a simple music score (on one line, for flute/recorder/one hand on the piano!) and the words, with examples of further verses (should you wish to make the songs longer than the version on the CD), good diagrams of actions, and opportunities to add some percussion instruments. The idea behind the set is very good - giving the children a chance to really join in, making language fun for children. This is where the set earns 2 stars!

I bought the French version of this book, and felt that the songs were great for children to listen to, but a bit advanced in it's language - well, this spanish version is the opposite!

I couldn't do languages at school, wasn't bad at other things, but with languages I always had a kind of block in the brain. But having a partner and his family who spoke French made me try to learn as an adult, and this has truly helped me. I'm not going to tell you that I'm suddenly fluent, but listening to this CD made me realise that I could do it. I learnt the whole CD after several listenings and felt a real achivement, and it spurred me on to learn more (I went onto Michel Thomas who is great). I'm actually enjoying language learning now which I didn't before, and it was because this CD made French accessible to me, if not providing a huge range of vocab. Great for car journeys, well produced, and lots of interesting stuff. Recommended for children 8 plus. My 10, 14 and 18 year old all enjoy these Naxos books, and so do their parents.

This is essential reading for leaders of organisations. Collins used meticulous research to find out what enables companies to make the leap from good to great. He describes a number of common themes. One is 'level 5 leadership' - self-effacing servant leaders who build and empower their teams. Another is the emphasis on choosing the right people before aligning the strategy. The book is clear, concise and easy to read. If you want to build a high performance organisation then this work must be on your reading list.

I've been waiting for this version to come out on CD for a long time. My tapes, both sets, have worn out! I will never tire of listening to this, despite the fact that I scorn most children's literature nowadays! David Jason's Toad is a complete joy, conniving, self-pitying but loveable all the same, just like Toad should be. This version is atmospheric, funny, beautifully acted and 'comfort' listening of the first order. Forget the modern world and all its PC ways. Sit back and listen and pretend everything's alright - just for awhile...
