Advanced French Grammar dives into the the most difficult aspects of French grammar. I think the chapter on the subjunctive and the distinction between "c'est" and "il est" are worth the price of the book.

As an experienced teacher, I had to write a review to say just how fantastic this new A Level French book is. Both my pupils and I have found this book, especially the transistion chapter to be clear, accessible and informative across the range! If you are looking for a text book for the new A Level specifications, then I would highly recommend you take a look at this. Amusez-vous bien!

I learnt more from the first CD than from five years at school. Without doubt this is the easiest and most effective way to learn French. I recently returned from France on a family holiday. I certainly had more confidence than ever before when speaking French.
You are advised to pause the CD and try things out for yourself before the students attempt it, but to be honest you can usually get there before them. I've used the CDs in the car and when out jogging, with no need to pause. If I had to find a groan it would be at the 'not so good' student. Sometimes you get the feeling that she isn't listening and is in her own little world. There are times when I think Michel is thinking the same thing about her.

this book explores the topics of study for AQA french A-level - it is a great aid to the final exams which I am currently sitting and has proved to be an immense grammar and vocabularly aid to me and to my peers who have also used this book for study. I would highly recommend Elan 2 to anyone studying A-level french, if you aren't I wouldn't bother as it would probably be no good. If you do buy it, enjoy... and good luck in your exams

I bought this book as it was deemed to be the best book that my native French tutor had ever found to teach beginners french. It is easy to follow and well explained. It not only teaches the language but tells you a little about the french way of life which helps to understand using the language in everyday situations. So many books are difficult to follow but this one just guides you through everyday situations which you would find yourselves in if travelling to France. It is not available new anywhere new, that I am aware of, so if this is the book you are looking for-Amazon is the place to buy it!

Found this pack really useful. It has helped me to get started on spanish and I have found the book gives interesting information about life in Spain/South American. Answers are all in the back so think this is a good pack if you want to start learning Spanish without a class.
