Sue Martin's harrowing account of the physical and mental abuse and tortue at the hands of so-called carers has changed my perception of the charity under which she was placed. It is certainly one I'll never give to again. Not until they explain such treatment and what they intend to do to atone for their unspeakable inhuman behaviour towards children.

This book is beautifully written and I was desperate to read Toni's sequel as I needed to find out if she ever did manage to get answers from her mother or a resolution over her father's actions.
The book is damning indigtment of the Northern Irish Protestant family that ostracised her for "shaming" her father by reporting the abuse when he had made her pregnant.
A step above many of the Memoirs of misery that currently flood the market.
I hope this book enables others to face the fear and speak out for themselves, or helps others to not keep secrets when they KNOW other family members or friends are being abused.

If your interested in the mafia between 70's and 80's this is the book for you to read. It will give you the understanding of what it is all about. I've just started reading mafia books in the past year and this book puts everything into perspective. Fantastic book! You'll find it hard to put down. The author Philip Carlo is brilliant the way he has wrote this book. Short chapters have made this a better read. Goes back to old days and to gas pipes era. FANTASTIC. ALAN HAASE. U.K

I've read both of Jordan AKA Katie Price's book, and I have to say I'm now a fan and can't wait for her third book. People can say whatever they want, but love her ot hate her you have to admit she tells it just like it is. I love the fact that someone before me just copied out one paragraph from the book, it's a very good read. I like her direct attitude and the way you feel like your just having a girly chat with her, not being spoken down too. I say, give it a go, you might just be supprised.

I absolutly loved this book, it gives all the details, some people may find it slightly crude but its all honest. Personallly i think it takes a hell of a lot of guts to write a book so true and down to earth about the way you live your life, especially if your're a hooker.
I found it a gripping read and quite simply couldn't put it down, the style of writing is very descriptive and i dont think it left a lot to be desired. I have recomended it to all my friends and would do so to anyone else, unless of course they weren't into read that kind of thing.
I especially liked the tips at the back, it shows that being a hooker/escort isn't easy or safe.

Hmmm. I tried to like this book, I tried to like Abby, but doesn't read as a book it reads as the diary of a lonely teenaged girl with a vivid imagination and an idea that the word frig is scandalous. It's not, just frigging irritating when repeated too often.
I'm not a great blog fan but I can see how snippets of this 'world' would fill a coffee break or dull morning at the office beautifully it's just...not very real. Ultimately a real life confessional should feature a little glimpse of a real life. Abby didn't seem to have one. Or friends. It came across as a little sad and hollow. There's nothing titillating about loneliness.

Campbell has a sharp eye for personal description and these pull the reader through the book, they are funny and rude. He has no confidence in the abilities of MPs and Cabinet Ministers. Sadly neither Blair nor Campbell were able to encourage the abilities of those who could have been working with them, instead they laughed at them. The book shows the egoism and fragility of both men, who steamrolled others throughout their reign.
The book was also totally dishonest about so many political incidents. EG: the contentious Dome, Weapons of Mass Destruction and Mandelsons's resignations are all skated over. There is no development and no analysis, political or otherwise. On this level the book is a lightweight sham.
Campbell obviously needed people to see that ... Read More:

Part physicist, part prankster, part musician, part teacher, part genius, part story teller, part little boy and all human being, this is the true story of Richard Feynman. He was a man with an insatiable curiosity, and had a zest to explore the world of physics, human nature and himself.
The stories in the book are funny, entertaining and enlightening. Feynman never got out of his box, because he never had one. From the gifted young boy who fixed radios by thinking to the top notch physicist who could explain concepts to laymen like no one else, Feynman was one of a kind.
Well worth the read!

Love this book - instantly readable, full of information, these were real actors living hellishly wonderful lives - not like today's talentless soap stars. Highly recommended.
