Trying not to use the phrase "paradigm shift" is almost impossible when talking about this book. If you've not heard of this, then you need to get out more.

Seven Habits is a wonderful book that will change your life if you let it. Now, the key is in the title: Habits. Not whims, but habits. You have to keep at what the book talks about and while the book is geared toward those who want success, it is not geared toward happiness. Think they're the same? No. Read the book and you'll see why.

Now we know what killed Gary Gygax...... the final ripping out of D&D's quirky soul! Everything is perfectly balanced, no more supermen half-orcs wielding the hammer of thunderbolts with gauntlets of ogre power and a girdle of storm giant strength... no more gimped gnome illusionist/thieves

Pretty sad for an old timer, but I am sure the new players will enjoy their squad based adventures with floor plans and plastic figures.. after all the plastic figures are much cheaper than Warhammer figures!

This film's story begins in Kabul, Afghanistan, in the 1970s. We meet two 12-year-old boys, Amir and Hassan. The two are close friends. Have to say the book is written in a way that it is an easy, engaging read, which puts across an interest and detail in the subject that is rather infectious. It gives explanations & descriptions in plain English, as if the author is standing next to you holding a conversation with you rather than talking at you. It doesn't have lots of glossy pictures of marvellous gardens and plants, but it has something far more important: necessary information put across in a way that as a beginner, I felt I wasn't being talked down to in a way some celebrity gardeners do tend to do IMO. The information given is incredibly useful and practical. It's going to be one of those books I pop in and out of when needed, and will be come well-thumbed and well-used. I recommend it.

After the dissapointment of Gold Diggers I was a little aprehensive about this 3rd book by the author (Daddys Girls being fabulous)but I need not have worried. From the very first page it had me hooked. The characters were strong, the story lines ebbed and flowed and joined seamlesly. If it is high glamour and luxury you are after then this book is it.

Zany story and zany, funny ills combine to make a really good package for young children at storytime. The ills combine a striking ability to make a simple statement while being quite detailed. The verses and letter that make part of the narative add variety.

Oh dear. It is rare you get the chance to read such a dispiritingly badly-written book as this. In a novella that is barely half a book-length, it is odd to be screaming for an editor. But this book badly needs someone to have pointed out the many problems, way before people were asked to spend cash on it.

As others have noted, the narrative voice is very, very annoying. It reads to me like a cod-Pakistani, an obtuse and ignorant caricature that owes much to Peter Sellers and patronising attitudes from decades ago, but nothing to modern Pakistan. Since the author is Pakistani, I wonder how this happened. Perhaps he was, in his own patronising way, portraying what he thought we might expect a Pakistani to sound like. He failed dismally.
