I bought this because in all my gaming years the prima guides have never failed me. Until now. this guide DOES NOT cover the ps2 platform so there is no reason to buy this other then to waste money if you own a playstation 2.
I'm really disapointed with the strategy guide but i'm going to have to go it alone on this one now.

This is by far the best book for the 70-290 exam.
It comes with software that will allow you to take practice exams just like the real thing and is structured in such a way that you can test what you've learnt after each chapter.
I got 94% because of it!

Get this book before you get any others.

Why do any of us buy a book like this? I believe most of us already have a pretty good idea what sells on ebay and how to source it. The trouble is that those who didn't and have now read this will know as well!

I was expecting that extra something, you know? Over and above the same old basic stuff, but this book just didn't deliver it?

One other thing, note the title of the book. This will not make you megabucks imho, indeed when you look closely at his own figures, the author's own methods don't make him a bucketful either do they.

I'm with the guy who said it's okay for novices, but if you have a bit of nous already - don't waste your money. I sold mine on ebay!

A excellent book for those of us that aren't too familar with this computer lark.Very easy to read with great see-how guides.Lovely coloured pages that invite you to get involved,yet without bogging you down with too much information.I gave this book 5 stars although it doesn't cover some of 'vista ultimate' functions,but hey if you are man enough to handle the ultimate(like myself)then this book will serve you well,plain and simple.

I have found this book a useful resource for my software project management module in my computer science degree.

The book is fairly straightforward and clear.

It maybe doesn't have as much detail as I would have liked, but it does the job well, and it is not that expensive, compared to other similar books which can be £40+

For those studying project management, this is definitely worth a look.

core PYTHON programming SECOND EDITION is a well laid out respository of powerfull knowledge, all in one place. A brilliant aid to understanding Python programming at all skill levels. If like me you can't resist the urge to dig deeper and find out what makes things tick, then this is a resource second to none. A big thank you to WESLEY J CHUN and everyone who supported him in putting together this great piece of work. I will recommend this book everytime.

There's a limited amount you can do in a thousand pages and I reckon the authors have done what they can.

This is *not* for casual reading, it's hard work on a par with Knuth's tomes. It's not as all-inclusive as the latter, but it goes deeper into certain aspects.

The mathematical bits at the start are okay, and there is an excellent exposition on the big-oh notation (and its relatives) - such is difficult to find, for some reason. That alone makes it worth getting.

However, as a work of art it seemed somewhat amorphous to me (yes, even books on mathematics and computer science, even technical manuals, are works of art and can be judged as such), and when I got to the end, I found myself not caring too much whether ... Read More:

This is probably one of the only books that I can recommend to those who are interested in learning about audio engineering, from beginners to experienced studio engineers.
It has everything from the basics, right up to the more advanced topics. Combined with Bob Katz "mastering" book, you will have the perfect learning and reference books for university / college use AND general home reading.

For any programmer writing or using multi-threaded code this book is a godsend. The writing is clear and accessible, the examples are relevant to day to day development and the coverage is bang up to date. Likely to join Effective Java: A Programming Language Guide (Java Series) as essential reading for Java developers.

I read this book 3 years ago, and DDD has been my preferred design concept ever since.

However, I have to agree that this book uses a highly sophisticated language, which is very difficult to read for a non-native English person.

Also the book is way to long. I wrote an internal summery, which is about 10 A4 pages, and it contains all key concepts about DDD. This book should have been no more that 200 pages.

The thing is that DDD is actually a very easy concept, but this book makes it overly complicated, and the concepts drowns in unnecessary details.

Also the book lacks examples. There is almost no code. A sample solution, would make a big difference.
