Such a lovely board book and in my opinion it's perfect for babies and toddlers of any age really.
It's especially good for reading before a daytime nap (or any winding down time) as the beautiful rhymes and gentle illustrations can be quite soothing.
My 2 year old daughter loves it and I highly recommend it.
Buy it and you'll soon see...it will come out from the bookshelf time and time again.

I got this book as soon as it came out! i'm such a fan of her fiction stories! I've also read angel and crystal but this was BY FAR the best so far! i nearly cried at the end of the bokk- because i had finished reading it! i just wanted it to go on forever! - I no waht your thinkin oh my god what a SADDO. - I think that this book is her best SO FAR....... ,

just give it a chance... you'll never no unless you read it!.


Hopes shes writes other fiction stories!

In this brilliant novel we get to see three women, one evil and guilt stricken the other shy and gullible, and the third women young beautiful and vain.

After reading the other Boleyn girl thirst, I was able to understood the true cruelty of Jane Boleyn (lady rochford) in this book once again she only thinks of herself , she befriends both of henrys new queens with only her interest in mind. She is most obsessed with Anne Boleyn and her brother George Boleyn. She feels the guilt as it was her who help put both brother and sister to death. She is a jealous vile women who gets her just deserts as someone uses her to his own advantage, giving her hopes and dreams and then easily taking it away from her.

The Return

The Island was a fab read, and actually inspired me to visit Crete(and Spinalonga),and The Return has done the same thing..Im off to Granada next week!!I just love the way Victoria Hislop transports you to where the story is set in a most realistic way and I was so engrossed in the whole story.It was interesting to find out about the attrocities that happened within the civil war and how it affected normal families. The Ramirez family story was touching, how they were all so different in their views and lifestyles,as would be in any family,but that these differences led to tragedies!Mercedez story showed how her love of dancing helped her through everything during her life,all the sadness and heartache,but she also had happiness.I enjoyed this book thoroughly ... This book was recommened to me by friends, and I am so glad that I took their advice and read this. It is one of my favourite books of all time. I just loved it so much, I found it really interesting to see the story unfold from the perspective from Annes sister, and experience the life of the court through her eyes. Luckily I read this book before I saw the movie otherwise I never would have bothered with it. The history might not be 100% accurate but its so well written and enjoyable that I didn't care and just enjoyed the novel at face value. Highly recommended!!

The Constant Princess

I have now read all five of Gregory's novels set in the Tudor court. This was the last one I read and, I think, my favourite. It is the story of Katherine of Aragon, formerly Catalina, the Spanish princess, told mostly from her perspective.

Gregory opens the book with some scenes set in Spain, when Catalina was very young, giving the girl some background and showing how her family and upbringing affected and shaped her as a person and character. Then we move forward to when she comes to England to marry Arthur, Henry VIII older brother and the heir to the throne. Gregory's original take on their doomed marriage is incredibly moving and makes for a very good novel, which wouldn't have been very compelling otherwise. Revelation (Shardlake)

Have read all four of the Shardlake series, all brilliant. I am now having withdrawal. Sansom has you totally engrossed, you can picture the scene, a detailed version of the violent times of Henry V111. I cannot find a single fault. Will there be anymore, please.
If you like historical whodunnits, these are for you, difficult to put down, extremely well written, who needs television.

The Birthday Present has probably been the book I was most looking forward to in 2008, especially considering how good Rendell's last effort under the Vine name - The Minotaur - was. Sadly, this doesn't get within a long creeping tendril's distance of the quality.

The Island

I began reading The Island as part of a book group choice, but failed to make it past the halfway mark. Hislop has the bones of an interesting novel here, but she has thrown it away with her amateurish writing. She must be connected in the publishing world, because most editors would have decimated a draft of this quality. A similar manuscript from an unknown novelist would probably have languished forever in the agent/publisher's slush pile. The characters are undeveloped; some of the dialogue is risible; character viewpoints are switched at random, but not in a way which leaves the reader confident that the author is doing it for a purpose.

What I find staggering is that, following its recommendation by Richard and Judy, this is now a best seller. "Set the Hype Drive to maximum, Scotty."
