Webster is scarcely known outside university departments and some enlightened secondary schools who have used him on A-level syllabuses. This is a pity...and a scandal. It means that he is vastly undervalued, if rated at all. His two main plays are great works of art and he is one of the very finest playwrights in existence. Read, and re-read.

Won't give away anything here but I loved the entire series of this manga (and the anime) and this last volume keeps you gripped all the way through its so awesome. You really don't until the end who's going to win, and it really depends who's side you're on as to whether you'll like the end or not.
Anyway who hasn't got into to Death Note yet should, I've never read a manga that's affected me so much (it's been three days since I finished and I'm still thinking about the ending!.

This really is one of the best accounts of the Great War that I've read. Given all that I've heard about this book, that wasn't so much of a surprise - what was, however, was that well before Graves joined the army about mid-way through the book I was already solidly engrossed.
Robert Graves writes with a real charm and gentle humour, belying an often quite scathing satirical leaning, and his account of his early home life and upbringing is beautiful, a real evocation of a time now lost forever. The fact that he's half-german heartbreakingly foreshadows later events, as he spends childhood holidays playing in fairytale German castles with German uncles and nephews, men he is destined one day to try to kill on the battlefields of France. ... I have decided that it really is necessary that I write a review of this book. I came to the book curious and clueless as to the exact nature of it's content, but given that Piers Morgan has the Marmite effect on most of the people i know (you either love him or you hate him) I thought I should give it a go. I am so glad that I did. Piers' writing style which managed to capture the rush of a newsroom combined with salicious gossip and witty commentary on the news stories of the nineties made 'The Insider' a complete sleep-snatcher, literally, I couldn't put it down. On top of which I was completely entertained, sometimes I even laughed out loud or braced myself as I was taken on a ride through the scandalous exposés of Britain's best-loved/hated celebrities, ... Ms Duffy is loved by readers even more than by the critics. She is wise, and she is clever. She is also very moving and extremely funny. This volume introduces us to Mrs Aesop, Mrs Darwin and even Mrs Faust and Mrs Quasimodo and so on...
These are not poems meant for academic study, these are poems to be read and enjoyed. And they are very enjoyable, with sharp wit throughout.
There are times in her more recent work when Duffy strikes me as the poet that Elizabeth Jennings was too frightened to be, here however CAD lets her hair down and unleashes a delight of barbs and sympathy.
The only disappointment for me is The Kray Sisters, but then, I hate so called cockney rhyming slang. Stuff your 'lady Godivas' up your 'Khyber pass'.

This study guide is an invaluable tool to anybody wishing to gain a very basic understanding of Bronte's text, wuthering Heights. It very clearly sets out plot with a general synopsis and chapter by chapter explanation and summary's and also comments on theme, style language and gender within the novel.

Although still a marvellous read the previous volume of Death Note had something of a filler feel to it but thankfully this sixth volume sees this excellent manga series back on top form. Having identified that the new Kira is among seven individuals working for Yotsuba Light, L and the rest of the taskforce must find a way to get the evidence of how Kira kills his victims before the move in on the seven. When Misa is sent to get close to the seven the Shinigami Rem complicates things by revealing itself to her and Misa comes up with a plan of her own.
This volume is probably one of my favourite to date with some great action and some nice plot twists. It is also good seeing the Shinigami again after there brief hiatus in the last volume, and we also learn some ... Read More:
