The third volume of the Death Note manga carries on from where the previous volume finished with Lights house heavily bugged with his father and L watching every move he makes. Light manages to find a way round the surveillance but L still suspects him and so enrolees in the same collage as Light in order to take his measure.
Death Note continues to be an excellent series with great illustrations and is very well plotted; the twist at the end of this volume is especially great if a little predictable. The volume is full of great moments, such as Light and L's tennis match, and the Shinigami Ryuk is quickly becoming my favourite character in the series. Death Note continues to be one of the best things I have read in ages.

what more can i say? although this cannot be a substitute for the actual book it certainly goes a long way when trying to understand the main themes and the characters. of course you cannot just learn the book by heart and expect to acheive the highest grade - your own opinions are vital and this book is just an aid in forming your own ideas. the book has improved a lot from its last edition and now has many new features including examiners tips, "did you know?" and useful insights into the authors life and how this would have affected her writings. 5 out of 5 for me - fantastic aid for all students studying the text!

This is a beautiful book. It paints a picture of a country 'at war with itself', it doesn't preach, contain prose of sluttish empathy, but it does bring across the misery and degradation of moments captured on the page - moments that echo in the reader, reminding us that the grinding misery, boredom and callous cruelty of war is not contained within the dramatic, brief flash of cannon and rattle of sabres, but is steteched out in such a way that it becomes mundane, banal, and utterly smothering of the humanity that we take for granted. I can't reccomend this book more highly.

This is a very good text guide to help with An Inspector Calls at GCSE level. It gives you a great insight into the play and explains things very well. But sometimes it doesn't go into a deeper analysis and description which is required if you want to get the higher marks. But it has greatly helped me with the understanding and knowledge that I have of the play.

I was given this study guide to use when revising for my English Litrature GCSE exam.
I found the tips and the generalisation very very useful and the excercises given to complete were of use, unlike some guides that give difficult offputting questions.
The language within the guide is not too simple and not to complex, which makes it an ideal guide as it does not intimidate or put one off revising.
I like the guide's size aswell, as it was easy to store in a small bag meaning that it was always availible for referance if I had a few minutes spare.
I achieved an A grade using this guide in the 2007 GCSE exam, so I would highly reccommend purchasing this guide for the English Lit exam.

I watch this every time it is screened on tv too - probably dozens of times over the years - always enjoyable. Helps if `the jane` is just a little bit pretty, but of course she never is - that would be slightly defeating the object....

The Oresteia is not just a seminal work of European literature but also one of the founding texts of western theatre. The only complete trilogy still extant from Classical Athens, it tells the story of Agamemnon's return from Troy and his murder by his unfaithful wife Clytemnestra. The 2nd play takes place years later when Agamemnon's children, Electra and Orestes, have to struggle with their consciences over whether to revenge their father by killing their mother. The third plays brings the trilogy to a conclusion as Orestes, pursued by the Furies for the crime of matricide, is brought to Athens and finally purified of his crime.
Dark, grim, compelling and poetic, this really will haunt you.
