Firstly, these headphones really do punch a lot higher than their weight in terms of sound quality vs. money spent.
The sound quality just is astounding for something that is under £20. I've had a pair of £40 Sennheisers for about 2 years and they are not a patch on the PortaPros.
The bass response on these is warm, strong and natural, without rattling your eardrums. The midtones are lovely and strong, which is something rather missing on a lot of headphones. The high end is clear and bright as well. I will say that these do take a little getting used to, mainly because they do produce such a completely rounded sound.

This book has some great summary sections which are invaluable when revising and trying to learn key points of each theory. However Barry does tend to 'waffle' a bit in places, sometimes making it difficult to understand and there are some errors in the book itself. But it is definately worth getting for the summaries alone, but make sure it is supported by another text.

This offering from feminist playwright Caryl Churchill is an uncompromising critique of the capitalist mode of feminism as advocated by the model of the eighties power women, most obviously personified by Margaret Thatcher.

'Top Girls' deploys an interesting technique whereby characters narratives overlap leading to complicated scenarios wherein meaning is lost in the melee of competing voices. It certainly makes for difficult listening or reading but acts uniquely as a physical representation of the interupted and disjointed histories of the women whose situation it aims to ameliorate.

This study guide weas invaluable to me when I was Doing Othello for my A.S levels as my techer was rubbish. thanks to this book though, it really clarified every aspect of the play for me. I definately would have been lost without it. So if you find Shakespeare a bit difficult to understand, getting this study guide (and those of the other plays) would deffinately be a great help to you.

This book achieves the impossible. It makes the difficult and obtuse polemical and theoretical debates of recent history easy to read. Yes, believe it or not! I cannot find enough congratulations to give for this excellent and learned book. The achievement of the age. For my English Lit A level I am currently studying this text. When reading this (if you decide to) the first thing to remember is that the poetic style were purely experimental and thus meant to be taken lightly. That is important to bare in mind because you might be reading it and thinking what is this.

The collection is written predominately by Wordsworth (only 4 Coleridge poems are in it) and definitely display's boldness and flare in execution and deliverance. You may find it interesting to read because Wordsworth draws upon the characteristics of many Seventeenth century vagrants, it is amazing to think that even than there were marginal members of society. Of course this is a wonderful edition containing all of Chaucer's works, accompanied by detailed notes and a thorough glossary. However, for those hoping that the annotations will provide you with a full social and historical context, I'd just like to mention that the Riverside Chaucer tends to "send you off" to other academic books about Chaucer or about life in medieval England. I found this very unhelpful, expecting notes to give me certain insight into Chaucer's life and thought as well as historic contexts, but most of the help comes in the form of "For Chaucer's view of women, see [insert title of book and year of publication]" sending you off to very academic books that not everyone has access to.
