The pamphlet is well written and illustrated. Good for sharing with a young child. However, it was not very useful to me. The analogy is misleading and obviously based on an 'afterlife'. May appeal to some but not for those looking for a more straightforward, rational approach.

This is the only CGP book which I think doesn't do its' job fantastically. The book does not go into enough depth at all. It lacks enough Bible teachings - something which is required to pass the exam! Many topics are totally missed out, and the book didn't provide me with any help in remebering things for the exam.
Students beware! Many exam boards such as OCR have split the Christianity Religious Studies syllabus up into different courses, and you normally only study one course. This book tries to cover all the courses in a small amount of space and fails.
I don't understand why CGP had to release it with Islam and Judaism, as I wasn't even studying these, and it is a waste of money for me. I would expect CGP to release revision guides for all the ... Read More:

Everyone here has pretty much raved about this book, so I won't rehash it all. Just adding my voice to the rest and saying - Wow! Received this book in the morning, finished it by evening. Truly one I couldn't put down - realized I was walking around the house with it in my hand. You start out feeling sorry for this woman, but soon realize she is quite capable of taking care of herself and her children and doesn't want or need your pity, thank you very much! Early in the book you know that she is going to rise above this life, and you want to keep reading just to see how she does it. Inspirational.

Judaism: A Very Short Introduction (Very Short Introductions)

I have read many of the very short introduction series and have found them thorough, interesting but not too heavy. This has proven the same with Solomon's book. As a intellectual blank on Judaism prior to reading this book it ahs proven an able step in developing a solid knowledge of the subject. Solomon is able to explain a lot about Judaism without going too far into scripture itself. This is undoubtedly a plus when reading it in a obstensibly secular vein such as myself. A very good read.

this book will change your life forever and you will be blessed. TD Jakes is gifted and what a blessing to have him write this book and give hope to others who seem to be going no where. HIs message is simple "Its not over for you because there is always a second chance, nomatter what. God will continue to open doors, you just dont have to give up"AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

Amen to what the last reviewer said! In a nutshell - this is an easy to read and relate to book, sharing the inside life of an Anglican vicar. If you are contemplating the calling on your life into ministry, then this is a most excellent starting point!
