I bought this book in my first year of nursing, and i am currently in my third year and it still comes in incredibly handy!!! Its basic layman's terms and bright images, make the most complicated anatomy subjects plain, simple and easy to remember! It takes every part of the body and brakes it down! Its great for interest and for learning! If you just want to make a quick reference to something it comes in great!! I urge all nursing students to pick one up, as it contains simple explanations to the questions you may feel embarrased to ask!!! Dont waste your money on books you'll never use again, spend it wisely and for £9.99, its a BARGAIN!!! BRILLIANT!

I am a Paramedic & find this to be an invaluable reference that is small enough to be carried around. It explains things clearly & simply, so would also be useful for the layperson.

However, the commentary (evaluation) boxes, rather pretentiously, go all around the houses, and do not explain evaluative points concisively.
The layout of the book is poor, and the use of a KEY to have to work out which sections are explaining what just makes the book altogether confusing.
This review has been written after having to copy out of the book for a day's lesson - so i know that my notes are definately not sufficient enough to revise for a ... Read More:

This is a seminal book, which has in some ways been superseded by its own children. If you survey the Mac and PC software applications that offer help with time management, by far the most popular system implemented is Getting Things Done, or GTD for short.
GTD has been criticised for being no more than common sense. In a lot of ways this is both untrue, and unfair. More accurately, it's two simple ideas put together, and supported by a collection of useful ideas borrowed (with appropriate acknowledgement) from elsewhere. The two ideas are the idea of 'stuff', and what you do with it (collect, process, organise, review, do), and the idea of using (and relying on) a reliable filing system. It's backed up with other good ideas like brainstoming, ... Read More:
