I think this is deliberate though as it wouldn't do to have a comic tell an important story in the firefly setting just in case a new series or movie is commissioned. While that looks very unlikely now at the time this was first published it was more of a possibility.
That aside this is Ok, the art is nice and the characters are recognisable. The plot is simple and a bit too light but the characters are portrayed well, its like a filler episode of a TV series.

I have been a Tintin fan almost all my life. I have read all the Tintin adventures in my native language (finnish) and wanted to try finally the english translations. I liked it more, in finnish translations, that Snowy is Milou. Why they didn't use Milou when it's the original name? I also didn't like how small the book was (should read more carefully the "Product details" heh). The book could fit in a pocket and therefore would be a good on travel. So, translations(Snowy)and dimensions(too small): -2 stars

Not the best written story, it's not very inventive and feels quite loose, but is still very satirical, with plenty of references to our very different customs. Our Gallic heroes seem to get quite cross after a while with their cousins from across the water, for being so...well, English! A pacy adventure through Ancient Britain, complete with warm beer and strange customs. Very popular here, for obvious reasons, but I'm not sure if this is even in my top ten.

Reading these reviews of Tintin au Congo reminds me of the words of social analyst Jason Edward Black, "the scariest of racial stereotypes and prejudices arise when the public cannot recognize such ills." Frankly I'm concerned by some of the responses: "there is nothing here that I would personally regard as outrageous" and "It preaches the true story of colonialism and Africa. However there is absolutely nothing racist about it..."
As a child I read both Tintin and Asterix comic books, adored them and was delighted to study them in a course on la bande dessinée at uni. This is when I read Tintin au Congo which provoked pretty strong feelings of repulsion.
This is emphatically not an ideal read for young Tintin fans. It is however a thought ... Read More:

This second volume of the Bleach manga sees the substitute Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki forced to save his friend and a possessed parakeet from a sadistic spirit. Through dealing with this threat Ichigo discovers new information on the afterlife and his role in helping spirits pass-on. This volume also sees Ichigo having to deal with the more personal problem of a renegade soul running amuck in his body and ruining his reputation.
The Bleach manga continues to be nothing but funny and enthralling with some good artwork and nice action on display in this second volume. Despite having watched the anime of this series and therefore knowing the general direction tat this series is going to take, I am still looking forward to reading the future volumes.
