My son got a set of these books bought for his birthday and this is his absolute favourite. He is only 2 but he joins in with the actions and certain areas of the book are a highlight for him (where the cat jumps out) I can now read this book without looking after reading it so many times.
I would definitley recommend this for all children - a must have for your library at home!

I am assuming that the review below, copied from the `Comments' area of this item, was the original review that the other two reviews refer to - so well done to all who got it deleted from the system.
I couldn't agree more with these two reviews on this item - this is a blank baby book for parents to fill in, with photos and text, as their baby develops over those precious first 12 months.
What does puzzle me is the fact that it got a positive vote in the first place - unless the author is also guilty of voting for his own reviews which is quite possible given how his `helpful' votes whizz up - you only need to look back at the review pages to see how obtuse the subjects are and how suspicious the voting is, especially on items ... My child cannot get enough of books; we stumbled across Lynley Dodd quite early in his life and by now have collected nearly everything she has written. While her books range from very good to excellent, Slinky Malinki is just genius: frankly the best children's book I've ever read (I must confess that I am a bit of a book snob, so this is a very high compliment).
At 18 months my child was captivated by the illustrations and events, and the ending fully met his need for drama and excitement. As a parent, I will never tire of reading this book (no mean feat!). It is BEAUTIFULLY written, even by adult standards. I am particularly impressed by the author's use of her extensive vocabulary and the fact that she sees no need to settle ... Read More:

This book is excellent. My brother-in-law bought this along with "The Bedtime Bear" as a Christmas present when my now almost 3 year old son was about 5 months old. The book got put away and forgotten about at the time as he was too young. We found the book last week and got it out as he is now big enough for it. I have never seen a reaction from him quite like this one! He loves reading anyway (always insisting on reading it himself) but this book is without a doubt his favourite. I have lost track of how many times he has read it since we got it out for him!
The tabs aren't very good for little fingers, but if you read it together you can 'help' and hopefully the book won't become too damaged.

My kids, husband & I adore this book and never tire of it. We all know it off by heart and each of us has a favourite type of pants in the book. We have bought many copies to give as gifts and would thoroughly recommend to all. Caution - it is not the sort of book to read at bedtime when trying to settle your children down quietly as you cant help but shout and laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was given this book as a baby shower gift when i was pregnant with my first, and i was always referring to it as i watched my son grow up, there was always a photo or thought or moment to record or i found myself going through it and wondering 'oh i must look out for when my son....' it really helps you notice your childs development.
I decided to purchase a different book when pregnant with my 2nd child, but the book i bought just didnt compare to this one. this has everything, sections for filling in thoughts, photos prior to birth, then special moments straight after the birth, and next few years of development. i had to purchase this again! it has now been improved with even more added pages for thoughts and special moments (has a slightly ... I purchased this book over a year ago and have been reading it to my daughter while encouraging her to use her potty on a regular basis since then. She absolutely loves it and if i am having trouble convincing her to sit on the pot then this book always helps convince her. Unfortunately it has not helped to speed up the training process as she has just turned 3 and is still holding in her wee and poo until she is back in knickers or her nappy. If i leave her bare she eventually just wees or poos on the floor. This book has made it easy for me to explain what to do and my daughter loves repeating bits back to me and will quite happily sit and look at the pictures on her own. I guess she will do it when she is ready and not before ;o)

We found this tale of Fox and his search for his clothes lovely and useful. The story is fun. The length of the story and content seems just the right appeal for toddlers (I have a 18m old ) to get interested in learning clothes & then 'getting dressed' too. The lengh of the book seems good for us so that it stays interesting (and usually we like to read it again!). We love 'lift the flap' books too & 'finding the clothes' in this one is fun.
