This is the first book I ever read, so I always look back on this book with a certian ammount of nostalgia.
Nostalgia aside, I found that this is a very packed book for less than 200 pages.
I find it hard to disemminate the plot without at least one spoiler, so I'll let you read the book.
Snibril is the character to whom most of the action happens to, and his development is supurb.
and as for Pismere, when you find out why he was kicked out of the dumi empire, you will laugh out loud.
I feel that this is one of Pratchetts greatest achievments. It is worth a read to Pratchett fans in order to see him at his best, and to anyone else, just so that you can see a well writen book that is action packed, but still short ... Read More:

This is my all time favourite book and Jacqueline Wilson is my best author. I have read many of her books and have enjoyed all of them. Candyfloss is very good and is all about a little girl called Floss who doesn't want to go to Australia with her mum and Steve. But she decides to go and live with her dad instead. What will happen to Floss and her dad when they get chucked out of the cafe?
To find out you will have to read this book!!!!!!!!!

Girls in Tears is the fourth (and hopefully not final) installment of Jacqueline Wilson's 'Girls' series and again focuses its attention on the lives, loves and laughs of best-pal trio, Ellie, Magda and Nadine.
In this latest installment, things are not going very swimmingly for our favourite lasses. Ellie's boyfriend Russell is being a pain in the behind, Nadine is acting like a careless air-head, Magda is upset over the death of her hamster, and Ellie's dad and step mum are at logger heads. While the book of course includes all the usual elements from previous 'Girls' installments (worries about looks, popularity, being cool, keeping your friends etc) all the major themes seem to come to a head in this latest one and it is to dramatic affect. ... This workbook goes with the KS 3 SATS revision guide. It has three sets of practice tests, each focused on a part of the exam for which it is designed to prepare: "The Reading Test"; "The Writing Test"; and "The Shakespeare Test". The introduction says "This book is for anyone getting ready for the KS3 English SATs. It contains lots of tricky questions... because that's the only way you'll get better. It's also got some daft bits in to try and make the experience at least vaguely entertaining for you." This sums up the ethos of the workbook: targeted, effective and surprisingly entertaining.
Summary: useful practice if you're preparing for the SATs exam.

If there was a zero star I would have to put that. The worst thing is reading a book where an author obviously has strange, misguided and warped opinions and hang-ups regarding society, sexuality and religious faiths and puts them into the mouths of his or her little invented characters (which all reveal a little part of the writer). Even the characters themselves are weird and un-likable and get up to revolting and unsavoury things. If you take the entire conception of this trilogy as a possible reality and to it's obvious conclusion you would go mad with no hope. I read these books out of interest and was very disappointed. What strange ideas throughout the whole vein of these stories. I would definately recommend Narnia instead where the characters ... Read More:

I am suprised at some of the mixed reviews for this book as I genuinely couldn't put it down. This is the follow on to the "OK" Resistance book and my only slight complaint was the cliff hanger ending, which isn't really a negative as this surely means a third book is due. This does however have some truly great moments, my personal favourite is The Borg queen threatening the Q with assimilation, a scene I would love to have seen in a film or TV show. If you are thinking of buying then obviously get Resistance first then read this - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
