Buy this book - it's fab! My daughter loves turning the pages and looking at the bright drawings, and the music is the best I've heard for this type of thing. Really well done and worth every penny. Hurrah!

This really is a "proper" pop out book. I am a nanny and the 18 month old little girl I care for LOVES this book. There are cute little rhymes about each pop out animal, it's brightly coloured, and every page has little fish for her to point at and say "ish"! The best part by far is how huge the pop out animals are! We have a game of kissing each animal, as it comes out so far from the page, and when the crocodile page arrives she giggles and hides her dummy in it's mouth!
A really lovely book generally, but an excellent book to encourage children who aren't keen on sitting still and reading.

This is a fantastic pop up book, a must for any young natural history fans. I bought it for my son's 6th birthday, he's totally fascinated by it and has even taken it to school today to show his class. Great value and worth every penny to keep him off his playstation for a while!

There are very few words in this book but don't let that put you off. With very little effort 'reading' this book at night to a little one turns into a wonderful personalised adventure for you and them! Brilliant illustrations, a must have for any baby/toddler and also excellent for multilingual families.

Excellent first book. My daughter is 16 months and loves this book its always the first one picked from the book shelf.I think its the fact it is a handy size, brightly coloured and has flaps that she can lift. I love it too the rhymes are hilarious. Thoroughly recommend it.

Both my son (now 20 months) and his cousin (3 years) were totally sold on Maisy from the onset through this lift-the-flap book. At bedtime, it is always the favourite choice and never fails to get squeals of delight and keep them both enthraled. This book has always helped to develop my son's vocabulary and has given his cousin the opportunity to play imagination games as she changes the situations and hiding places of the animals each time she reads the book.

This book is a complete classic that will delight children from a very early age. We started with this book when our son was about eight months old and he has enjoyed it ever since. Each page has an animal hidden behind card doors and toddlers simply love opening the doors to reveal the animal behind. Once again these animals give scope for further fun with parents doing the sounds of the animals, which in time children will copy. We found that when we did the animal sounds our little boy would carefully study what sounds we made, leading to our total delight one day when we heard the sound of a dog coming from our little boy. Personally I feel that the pictures of the animals could be a little larger, filling more of the pages - but this is a very ... Read More:

This is an amazing, beautiful book. It looks at the world as a garden, looking at plant life and in particular how different plants are used. Highlights include a page showing a garden with a pull-up that shows different plants and what they are used for; a page of lift the flaps showing fruits and vegetables growing and in the more familiar form (i.e. as bought in the shop); three pull out books that show how jeans, rubber tyres and paper are made; a fantastic pop-up of a cargo ship detailing where certain food stuffs come from and other interesting facts (like how much beer and rum sailors drank) and a beautiful pop-up of a flower arrangement with each flower described under a flap.
It should be no surprise that parents love the book - it ... Read More:
