A great favourite with my boys. Mog runs off at the zoo and is mistaken for a tiger by the keepers. Meg has to rescue Mog and then the fun starts.

My sister had this book when she was a baby fifteen years ago and when I had a baby I could not wait to buy it for the next generation in my family. it is a fantastic book and a must for all parents and babies. My daughter adores reading it with me and feeling the different textures, smelling the flowers and playing peek-a-boo as we read.

An excellent little book that helped my then 3yr old understand what had happened. The notion of a 'soul' is touched on but not dwelt on. Mainly the book helped open up lines of communication and allow the discussion of a difficult theme, at a very difficult time. Very useful pre-funeral as it has clear drawings of coffins, pallbearers etc. so I could try to prepare her a little for the day itself as well as it helping to prompt discussion of the day afterwards. The fact that different cultures have various ways of dealing with death is also touched on. Still read several times a week at my daughters request, she seems to find its simple terms a comfort.

Does the Isle of Struay really exist? If so, what are the property prices like because my three year old and I want to move there without delay. The storyline is so simple: young girl runs an errand, gets herself in a muddle, Granny bails her out. But the lovely detailed illustrations loan this book to lots of discussion, as you discover the Islanders going about their business and all the homes in the bay depicted on each page from a different vantage point. For example, on one page you have the Island post office seen from Granny's house, way over the far side of the bay, and on another you have that view reversed. Plus, there's the odd Island argot thrown in to boot, allowing the likes of me to slip into a Scottish accent to really bring ... Read More:

This book is a complete classic that will delight children from a very early age. We started with this book when our son was about eight months old and he has enjoyed it ever since. Each page has an animal hidden behind card doors and toddlers simply love opening the doors to reveal the animal behind. Once again these animals give scope for further fun with parents doing the sounds of the animals, which in time children will copy. We found that when we did the animal sounds our little boy would carefully study what sounds we made, leading to our total delight one day when we heard the sound of a dog coming from our little boy. Personally I feel that the pictures of the animals could be a little larger, filling more of the pages - but this is ... Read More:

A good sturdy book full of Scooby fun. The stories are a decent length (long enough for the kids to fall asleep during at bedtime) and are reasonably well written.
The only reason for not reaching the 5 star score is a few spelling mistakes. These don't bother the children if they are being read to, however, and are just a pet hate of mine. Otherwise, great stuff!

This story is told with great rhythm and rhyme as Tim and his Ted listen to a story in the classroom and become entirely submerged in it.
"Miss Wait reads - the room fills with water
A dolphin glides in through the door.
He invites Ted and Tim to go for a swim
And off they all go to explore."
There's pirates and treasure, a shark and a plank, a pirate ship and the heroes Ted and Tim, all illustrated in a fantastic quirky style that's fun and appealing. What more could anyone want? An absolute cracker.

We love the Klutz books and kits (we being myself aged 35 and my 10 year old daughter). Once again they have come up with a simple but entertaining package for young and old alike, to create with.
In this set you get a booklet with a step by step example of 'how to do' on a page and space to one side for you to have a go yourself. Also included are a black felt pen and an inkpad. You create animals using your thumb or finger prints and the felt pen. These kits are great for on car/plane or train journeys and are compact for you to take along almost anywhere. Keep one in your handbag and you'll never be short of something to entertain kids with.
