I am using this book to teach English as a foreign language to 8 years old kids. I like its excellent graphics because my pupils can easily associate images and text. This is very helpful to make them learn new words and structures. Pupils like the story and the characters; when I read the book, they are emotionally involved, and they pay more attention in listening, miming the story and then role-playing.

This book is great for teaching equality. it has lovely pictures, great to read to kids or have them read to you. fairly easy words
my kids love it
This book is just a wonderful collection of such charming stories. My eldest son is nearly 6 years and a fairly prolific reader but we have struggled to find books with enough words to challenge him but age appropriate storylines. Having not read Winnie the Pooh as a child myself I was a little sceptical but the stories are wonderful. The humour is gentle, the stories a delight, the text beautifully written. My eldest reads the book to himself, I read it to his younger brother. In short, we love it.

How I wish this delightful book existed when I was child. Until fairly recent years, most children were warned about the cliche stranger, but very seldom was the issue of predators children knew ever addressed. When I was a child, I honestly thought a double standard existed - improper touching was only frowned upon by one's caretakers if done by strangers. During those years, I wondered why nobody ever said if children had any recourse if they were confronted with "bad touches" by people they knew.
This is a wonderfully empowering book. It also dispels the myth of the candy-bearing stranger, lurking on playgrounds and parks if indeed he ever even existed. Statistics have shown that "bad touches" are very rarely done by strangers! ... Read More:

that's what I would call Sandra Boynton. What a great way she's got with humor and teaching things at the same time. Our then 16 month old daughter became an instant lover of the Moo, Baa, LaLaLa book, which made me buy the two box sets. In this second box set the stories are still a bit too complex for her, but I know she will get into it soon. She so loves the Boynton humor (in box set one)!

I am surprised noone has reviewed this little tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle! Well, I guess if you like any Beatrix Potter's book you like them all. Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle is as delectable a creation as any other in the world of Peter Rabbit. Personally, I find this one one of the less good story. The tale is not the heaviest on the cautionary side among Beatrix Potter's work but does feature a very courteous young girl and an equally well-mannered and unassuming hedgehog. The plot is very very slim with scantly any unfolding. That couples to the lack of the child-like escapade of tales such as "Peter Rabbit" and "Tom Kitten" makes it somewhat less engaging. The illustration is also somewhat lower in standard, and the fact that one of the two main ... Read More:
