Nasty-pasty Simeon Lee, a cackling old ogre, gathers his family around him on Christmas Eve to poke them with a stick. Before long nasty Mr Lee is lying on his hearth rug with his throat viciously slit from ear to ear. Whodunnit? Was it one of his 'namby-pamby' sons? One of their wives? His Spanish grand-daughter, Pilar? One of the servants? Or was it the unexpected guest, Mr Farr? Hercule Poirot is close by and on hand to assist Superintendent Sugden to investigate the crime.
Hercule Poirot's Christmas is from Agatha Christie's classic period and is one of her famous family / house-party mysteries. To most people this is a great recommendation, however these housebound mysteries are not among my favourites - they usually come across ... Read More:

Apparantly Richie Blackmore met Frank Sinatra and he said "who are you?".

Which seemed a logical move-after all didn't Deep Purple dabble in classical music in the 70s?
Though heavy metal is hardly my thing Deep Purple were always one of the better in this idiom having recorded country music in the beginning-Joe South's Hush.

This is a great CD, obviously for Christmas. But whatever you do...DON'T PUT IT ON REPEAT! You will soon go insane having this on repeat, unless you love Christmas songs. We bought this to put in a jukebox over Christmas, and it was constantly on! Its good if you are having family round, as maybe background music, but loudly, it would drive you insane...
