I just want to tell everyone that the code slip provided within the DVD case is of particularly tasteless scam to collect marketing info (your contact, gender, age etc. details). What you find in the web site after relinquishing the info is shoddy 3-level flash game for kids and material that could be descibed best as marketing material... which is pointless since you already bought the product. (And for reasons unclear to me, you are apparently only allowed 4 logins to this sub-par pile of flash adverts. What on earth is that all about?)
If you do want to see that yourself, I recommend giving bogus information. They scam you, the least you can do is scam them back ;)
The above has no bearing on my opinion of the movie ... Read More:

i used to own the individual season box sets until i got this one. this set contains all the special features and even the same artwork for the dvd's and the same menu graphics of the individual seasons. so essentially you're getting the same stuff for the fraction of the price and better packaged, like the atlantis sets. awsome

Of all the characters that they killed off within the first three series' Paul McGillion's character Dr Carson Beckett was the one I missed most of all. He was in at the very beginning and although Jewel State's character Dr Keller is engaging and credible Carson was the sort of character you could laugh at but still empathise with. It's a real tribute to the writers and to Paul that the character is so interesting and entertaining to watch.
One character I could do without is Ronan Dex. For some reason despite the writers attempt at putting in a history he always comes off (to me) as one dimentional. You can sum him up in just three words, violent, impulsive and uncommunicative. There's an episode when Teal'c and Ronan are paired up and the ... Read More:

With the majority of the Goa'uld defeated during the previous season this ninth season sees the rise of a new threat to the galaxy in the form of the godlike Ori. This season also sees changes to the main cast with Richard Dean Anderson leaving the main cast and new faces in the shape of Ben Bowder, Claudia Black (both from the excellent Farscape) and Lexa Doig (from Andromeda) joining the show on a regular or semi-regular basis. This change in cast could have been quite terrible but thankfully Ben Bowder more than fills Anderson's shoes as Lt. Col. Mitchell, the new leader of SG-1, and all the other new additions to the cast also fit in very well.
The storyline of this season is good, with the defeat of the Goa'uld last season it was inevitable ... Read More:

Season seven of Stargate SG-1 sees the return of Daniel Jackson to the team after having his memory erased and returned to human form, as well as the leaving of Jonas Quinn and a somewhat reduced role for Jack O'Neill. The season itself is somewhat random in its episode quality with some terrible episodes, such as Avenger 2.0, but the season finally makes up for all the bad episodes with a greatly cinematic and exciting episode. Although altogether season seven is not the greatest Stargate season ever but the many good episodes outweigh the dire ones.

When a series has gone on for as long as Stargate SG-1 has it generally starts to loose its way and devolve into mediocrity but thankfully it appears that this series has bucked this trend. The twenty-one episodes in this eighth series of the Stargate are, if anything, better than the vast majority of the episodes from the previous seasons. Season eight sees the return of the Replicators, O'Neill's promotion, the continuing search for Ancient technology, the Jaffa rebellion reaches its climax and much more.
This season of Stargate SG-1 has been one of my favourite to date with the only real bad episode being the clip-show `Citizen Joe' but even that is a cut above some other clip-shows I have seen. The writing is competent throughout and the performances by the cast ... Read More:

All of stargate sg1 is the best t.v ever but the earlier seasons are the best, especially the ones with the goa'uld. Apophis is the second best bad guy ever (after Ba'al, see season 5 onwards). 'Children of Gods' and 'Within the serpents grasp' (Both in season one) are two of the best episodes ever.

Stargate Rocks. Seasons one and three are better than season two but it still rocks.'The serpents lair' and 'Thors Chariot' are two of the best episodes ever and the asgard and the tok'ra are very cool.
