This was quite simply the worst film I have ever had the misfortune of sitting through. The story was the same as Crossroads (Britney Spears' similarly rubbish film from a few years previous), the acting was hamfisted and the whole thing just made me angry.
Not even the scenes where lots of attractive women dance around in tight, barely-there clothing saved this film. My girlfriend has now been banned from choosing another film to rent for the rest of her life.
I would recommend it for people who hate their eyes and ears.

I bought this having owned the DVD and thought it would be a film that would benefit from the advantages of HD. I'm not disappointed, thankfully. The picture is stunning.
As for the film, I think it's one of Will Smith's best yet often underated. Sure, it's no Oscar winner but as a quick fix of stunning special effects with a decent storyline it more than fits the bill. Enjoy!

Science fiction inspired from Isaac Asimov. The film is logical but explores a logic that is unique. Robots are built with three ingrained laws. "Law I / A robot may not harm a human or, by inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. Law II / A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law. Law III / A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second law." The scientist who designed these three laws and these robots also invented a central governing unit that was nothing but the watchdog of all robots as for respecting these three laws. But he had a doubt at the end of his life, more than a doubt, the conviction that the central unit, ... Read More:

The whole tone of this movie is set by its unusual and shocking opening - the story of a bullet from its manufacture to its final resting place in a child's skull. It is a simple idea which reminds you throughout the film of the REAL consequences of the world wide arms trade.
The movie is about arms trader Yuri Orlov (Nicholas Cage) who is also the narrator. His career unfolds from sordid beginnings as a small time gun dealer to one of the worlds largest private merchants of death. Based upon a real life character, Cage's performance is an effective mix of comedy, irony and a chilling `matter of factness'. At no time does this movie descend into sentimentality or moralising. This glimpse into the murky world of an arms trader as seen through the eyes ... Read More:

I really can't fathom it out, but I can warn any lesbian viewers in search of a nice cosy night in with a groovy DVD to AVOID THIS FILM! It's truly appalling, so much so that I've given it 2 stars for so-bad-it's-almost-funny cringe value.
To confirm what other reviewers have said, the lead character, Gray, is totally lacking in credibility. Perhaps she imagines herself as a cutprice Goldie Hawn only without Goldie's acting ability. or charisma. or timing.
It's not credible enough to be a gay film, not well-acted enough to be a good mainstream rom-com, and has no sex scenes so will diappoint sleazier viewers. Which is why I ask - who is it for?

It would appear that this film has attracted a lot more controversy than it is worth. Spy movies are a favorite of mine and I found this one typical of the genre. The spy game is based on trust, deception and ultimately betrayal and this offering certainly didn`t disappoint in that respect. It was, perhaps for some, a touch slow in parts but that only gave the viewer time to catch up. Definitely a film to watch more than once so you can unravel the plot with hindsight.

I confess that I was another one who found it boring. I watch all types of film not just action but what I think made it boring for me was the predictable plot. It just didn't entertain for me.

Coyote Ugly is the best film that i have ever viewed. It is a story of a young girl named violet, who moves to new York to become a sucessful Songwriter. The boss gives violet a "Audition" things aren't going to well but the owner sees her true potencial. She then becomes a bairmaid but this leads to her singing every night on the bar. In the film she also falls for a man named kevin the beginning of there relationship was rocky but they soon fall in love. Violet now needs to decide whats most important to her kevin, songwriting or the coyote bar? There are a lot of ups and downs in this film but ... Read More:

The title says it all for this anonymously scripted and directed movie; "Unknown." Maybe a few years before films such as "Saw," "Cube," and "Identity," the idea of strangers finding themselves trapped in a mystery location forced to work together in order to survive and work out what the hell is going on may have seemed fresh, perhaps even original, but unfortunately the basic set-up for this small scale but well intentioned thriller already whiffs of stale ingredients the moment Jim Caviezel bolts up into frame to find himself in a `strange' warehouse with no memory. Blend those aforementioned films with a large dose of "Memento" and "Reservoir Dogs," and you have this trifle of a plot that while short and sweet, is at the same time very much a rip-off of better movies.
