Whereas trainspotting was a film you can laugh at even in the sadest moments, though sometimes through gritted teeth, this film does in no way glamourise the use of drugs.
It provides a stark reality check which should be played to all those considering taking drugs (particulary injectable ones), which some people seem to need for some reason. Lets face it you dont ever hear of happy endings do you?! (though i can see, if not understand, the social reasons why people do try). Anyway the film is well acted and brilliantly shot, and gripping viewing. Not sure i would want to put myself through watching this a second time though as you get into the characters quickly, a beautiful relationship destroyed was harrowing and years after watching ... I love this film, I have watched it anything up to 20 times in a row and never ever become bored. I've shown in to many friends, some like comedy, some aren't so fussed, but all of them LOVED this film.
The minute you watch it, you become some kind of Life of Brian type fan, citing it as a classic and able to quote it almost word for word. I have seen most Sandler movies, the utter uselessness of The Waterboy and Little Nicky to the brilliance of The Wedding Singer and Big Daddy, but they never quite compare in my mind, funny as the latter two are. Sandler fan or not, you HAVE to watch this.
Never again will you be able to watch any Sandler film without comparing it to this masterpiece, and without thinking those immortal ... Read More:

I was debating whether or not to see this film when it came out, and rottentomatoes hadn't exactly promoted the film. However, the fact that Leslie Nielson and David Zucker induced me to pay the admission fee, and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I haven't laughed so much, so loudly, in a cinema since Ron Burgundy and his crew fed me laughing gas.
The quality of the visual gags reminded me of the excellent Naked Gun series and Airplane, and it was greatly satisfying to feel the same emotions this time around, albeit at points lacking the class of the aforementioned epics. Zucker really turned the screw round here, and I haven't, again since Anchorman, left the cinema convinced that I needed to buy the dvd to watch again the many classic moments. ... Read More:

Eric Stiffler's ready to go to college, and is going to stay on campus. When he sees how cool Beta is, he wants to join them. What he doesn't realise is he's going to be put through a set of tasks to become a Beta Brother, oh and he has to survive the Olympian Games, to save his fraternity.
This is the worst of the American Pie series, I really think they should have stopped when the real Stiffler stopped, because this isn't that funny. Anyone considering letting an under 18 watch this might think again, it's full of nudity and sexual activity. It tries too hard to be pornographic - yet at the last minute bails out, I think they should have thought about that a bit more before committing this to cellulite.

The Faculty is a really good sci-fi thriller that you can watch with your mates on a Friday evening. The film focuses on Herrington High, a school where the students and staff appear to have been taken over by an alien creature. Its up to the few remaining students, Zeke (Josh Harnett), Casey (Elijah Wood), Stokely (Clea DuVall), Delihla (Jordana Brewster), Mary-Beth (Laura Harris) and Stan (Shawn Hatosy) to figure out whats going on, how they can stop it and how they can save their friends. A really great film at an excellent price tag. Buy it now.

This film is absolutely abysmal. They know i giant storm is out there but those fish just have to be caught. The moments of sentiment between the fishermen and their wives are utterly unconvincing and when the storm finally arrives its a complete disappointment. I love extreme weather conditions (in particular large waves) and was hopeful of at least some good effects and late drama in an otherwise hopeless film but even the perfect storm itself was a disappointment. The camera flicks from a computer generated wave to a boat where it looks like stage hands are just throwing buckets of water over the cast the back to the CGI rubbish and so on with occasional corny lines and cast member dying to mix it up. The idea for this film is great and it could have been so good ... Read More:

I'll keep this as short as possible.
I remember around 7 years ago, I watched this for the first time. I was quite young and I was absolutely mesmerized by it. Today, I had a craving to watch it again for the first time in 7 years. I dug out the old dusty VHS from the attic and played it. After watching it once again, I was completely blown away. The animation has not a aged a bit and the story is as touching as ever.
Don't pass the chance up to watch this classic. A legendary film that I shall remember for the rest of my life.

I can honestly say that this, together with Bambi II, are the best animated sequels by Disney. Why you ask?
Well first things first, the animation is really impressive for a sequel and matches up quite well with the original film. The story is also good and I'm super happy they included some Elvis songs. Oh, and this film also made me cry at the end. Yep, and no Disney sequel ever makes me cry! =P
The only downside to this sequel is Dakota Fanning voicing Lilo instead of Daveigh Chase the original actress. She was ok though, I guess. But yeah, this sequel isn't half bad. You should definitely give it a chance!

This is a superb film based upon the exploits of a group of Black Pilots who as an experiment were sent to Tuskegee Airfield to train to be combat pilots and the various obsticles that they faced.
Laurence Fishburne is superb and is joined by several black actors who add warmth and an interesting contrast to the film.
there are some truly memorable moments which make this movie stand out apart from the fact that it is based on true events.
For anyone who is interested in War films but also the struggle for equality then this is a must for your shelf.
