A brilliant show, this DVD is a brilliant investment as these episodes can be watched over and over again. I love it, they make you laugh, they make you cry and you can identify with them so many times. This DVD set along with the others has pride of place on the shelf. This is what motivates me to get the ironing board out and tackle the mountain of clothes, as i know i can stand there and laugh along with these fabulous New York ladies, hey who cares if a few clothes get slightly singed along the way!

Things get even hotter in the 4th season of SATC. Charlotte becomes Narcissus while balancing on a dresser holding a mirror (a brilliant laugh) She endures marital strife with impotent Trey and the interfering Bunny McDougall. Ms York-McDougall begins a new volunteer job and discovers that her engagement ring can save a friend from catastrophe and mend a brief but hurtful rift.
Miranda worries about particularly localised loving, and men who prefer her to be passive rather than assertive. She endures the loss of her mother (a moving, absolutely believable performance by Cynthia Nixon. I cried...) and has the shock of her life when sympathy sex with Steve results in a baby.
Carrie tries her luck and an insanely high pair ... Read More:

This is unbelievable! I was forced to watch it on a transatlantic flight and was astounded by how crap it was. But here's the weird thing, it's totally compelling! I've been secretly watching it since. If it's on Sky and I'm on my own in the house, I'll watch it.
Heather Locklear's character is totally unrealistic, I mean, what a bad mother! She just drags her kids out of school and across the country every time she gets dumped.
And there's this one scene where mother and daughters have a dance together to some really inappropriate dance music (it's a funny story but I won't spoil it). The first time you see that you'll want to kill yourself and everybody within 100 yards with a smile on their faces. But after the tenth ... Read More:

I love this show and was so very excited when I first bought this DVD. I think this is a great season, and watching it is like catching up with old friends, so no complaints there. Episode wise I give the DVD a 5 star rating.
Sadly though, I had to even my rating out at 3 stars, because I give the actual DVD its self 1 star! Firstly there is no "play all" function. So, if you are relying on the buttons on the DVD player its self (having mistakenly thrown away your remote, or is that just me!?) you cannot watch the DVD. There's an annoying "intro screen" before you get to watch each episode, and if you turn the DVD player off whilst you are still on the credits for an episode, it brings you to an annoying screen where you have to skip ... The first season of "Sex and the City" is full of great moments. It's a true must-have for any fan of the show because it introduces each of the characters, and sets up thier various storylines in a way not seen in later seasons. It's also really interesting to see how the programme has changed from this first season to the last. I also found that alot of the episodes were brand new to me because this season is so rarely broadcast on television.
The problem with this DVD Boxset is that the video quality isn't what it should be. The video has been ported directly from it's original American NTSC format and unfortunatley it has a very grainy quality to it. This is the only real problem with the DVD boxset and it's a shame that the publishers did ... Read More:

Law & Order, to quote Chris Noth as Detective Mike Logan, "really frosts my cookies". I'm not actually sure what that means, but it sounds good. This is the first series of Dick Wolf's seminal cops 'n' lawyers show, now on it's umpteenth series. L&O has never and will never jump the shark, as long as the writing is so damn good. A constant changing of the cast places the emphasis most definitely on stories, not stars, although that's not to say the acting isn't consistently brilliant as well.
In Series One the cops are cocky, handsome Logan, who has a penchant for wearing terrible tartan ties, and weary, middle-aged, doughnut-munching Sergeant Max Greevey (George Dzundza), plus sarcastic ... Read More:
